I think the first potential path breaking quest is the battle for Bunker Hill.

I don't usually look at this thread and I started F4 late, so I'm a little behind, but I can second this. Did this quest the other day and now I've got everything messed up. I'm facing the decision now on whether to go with BoS or The Institute, and I think I may have already pissed off the railroad. It all started with Bunker Hill

Not to mention, when I showed up to the obelisk, I didn't know who the F to shoot

You should get a pop up before going forward with a certain quest saying something along the lines of "doing this will make you permanent enemies with said faction."

Make the right choice or else you'll hate life.

Anyone having an issue after the Xbox update? My settlements have gone to shite. They all show that they need something or have 0 in each catagory. Also having issues with the marker on the maps not showing up. Update made the game way worse for me.

The happiness at one of my settlements continues to plummet. It was in the 90s and now down to 40.

Appears I must have a synth infestation, but they haven't wrecked anything and they seem to behave while I am in the settlement.

Reading up on synth infestations, evidently if I use VATS it will show energy resistances for synths. I'll test that out tonight.

Seems like most of my settlements peaked and have been dropping so I guess I have synths all over the place.

What do y'all use as an outfit? I have been only using the Minutemen Generals uniform because of the high resistance to damage and low weight. I feel like if I put on combat armour or legendary type armor it's too heavy then you can't carry shite.

need to boost your armorer skill so you can make all your combat armor ultra light.

This play through, I am rolling with the Generals outfit with combat on top, patrolman glasses and black bandanna.

I use the extended armor mod to allow me to wear combat gear over my general's uniform. They were too lazy to fix all of the clipping issues with gear so they only allow a few undergarments to be covered with armor which is BS.

Last play through I wore combat with the silver shroud hat and suit.

I just had a random encounter with a Preston Garvey impersonator.

I haven't bothered to download the latest patch yet for the Xbox. Do you guys know if it fixes the clusterfrick that is recruiting traders to your settlements?

I would say no, because I didn't read that in the PC patch notes.

I sent Cait packing before I went and became a Knight and now I can't remember where I sent the bitch.

I don't understand why they don't let you know where your companions are

Survival mode now just ups damage and legendary enemy spawns for the moment. Apparently similar difficulty modes on past games actually requires the player to sleep, eat, drink to survive. They may be adding that in to that difficulty mode now.

I actually hated this aspect in the past Fallout games with survival mode. I just wanted a harder game, not extra tedium.

Though it wouldn't be as problematic with F4, since the crafting system is nice and it's easy as hell to get massive amounts of purified water from settlements.

eating and drinking is a piece of cake. I pick up and cook all food and dump it in the workshop so that really wouldn't be tedious. Any settlement near water has several purifiers rolling. Water would be fairly easy. Sleeping would be a bit of a pain in the arse just cause the animation is slow.

I guess some of the fans of deep immersion might like these options but overall, as you said, it would just be a bit tedious.
