Besides that, I'm just working my way through finishing off zones.
The good news is that you can do all that shite (or most of that shite?) after you complete the main quest. I just didn't have the heart to finish everything. At this point I am burnt out on it! I'm keeping the game installed, and my nightmare character saved. I'll revisit and finish up either once DLC comes out or whenever I get bored with my life in general.

I've finished all of the areas on nightmare. I haven't had the time to get to the main quest. I've done everything up to the Winter Palace.
I don't mind the side quests. I do not understand how I've missed mosaic pieces and this run, I didn't get all of the bottles of wine after getting all of them on Hard.
Not interested in playing anything else, so I am going to try and get all of the mosaic pieces and bottles of wine and songs.
I really enjoyed nightmare. Could have been a bit harder. Pretty much all of my gear is crafted.
I think my biggest beef with the game comes down to schematics and the fact the best armor can only be used with a Dwarf Warrior.
I think endgame schematic should be in a store somewhere. You should be able to buy ALL of the best schematics at a certain point in the game.

Loving the multi player. Not even playing regular any more only after 10 hours or so.
Had a 9 streak with 1 swing last night. Guy accidentally ran ahead and funneled enemy back through a tight corridor and I one shotted with a reaver.
Fun stuff

Friend who is thinking about buying the game asked if it was worth the price. I just laughed and said I'd pay $100 for this game because it's worth that much. Probably more.

I really enjoy the multiplayer personally. I need to unlock Necro and then ive opened them all.

So I was thinking, do you think Nightmare is viable without crafting? A gripe I have is that crafting makes all item drops, and store purchases obsolete. And it also takes up a good chunk of gameplay time collecting resources. Do you think that with a party of say self (2H warrior), Blackwall, Sera, and Solas/Dorian with specialization points min/maxed, that the game would still be possible to beat on nightmare?

I would assume they made the game so a person could win at any level without crafting.
End game crafting really isn't that difficult since top level rocks are all over the place in the hissing waste and Emprise.
Might be harder but I assume it is possible.

Although early on, it is going to be a real problem.
Clearing the beacons in Fallow Mire was impossible for me until I crafted high spirit resistant gear.
Also, part of the HUGE benefit of crafting is there is no level restriction on items.
I always seemed to get good items that require me to be 4 to 10 levels higher which makes them useless.

You could probably do it if you switched yourself to a knight enchanter or rift mage. It would be pretty damn painful to try and complete everything (the dragons) on nightmare as a rogue or TH warrior without the guard on hit gear.

All I have left is Wmprise Du Lion, which is half way cleared already. 5 dragons left.
Haven't done Wixked Eyes Wicked Hearts yet
How much more content am I looking at?

Not much, just the last few 3-4 main questline sections, which really aren't that huge. Emprise and hissing wastes are the last two zones really.

I just got around to doing Fallow Mire at level 12 and got raped in a bad way on the third beacon. Literally never got up after the two guys popped under me and knocked me down, kept popping up under me until we were all dead. Tried it again and I got them almost dead until they did it again to me.
I really haven't had any issues with nightmare yet except for a few places where I was probably under geared.
As far as making the best gear schematics able to be bought, can't really do it without putting a level on them. i have been running around with tier 2 stuff since level 4 after buying them in Val Royeux and I might go ahead and try to run to the canyon merchant to buy my end game gear.

I really don't know what I'm doing in this game but it's fun to roam around and just do random quests.

I got killed several times which forced me to go craft spirit resistant gear and the best weapons possible. Still got killed even more but finally got a bit lucky when I did clear the last beacon.
That area was easily the hardest part of nightmare. I've been killed a few times since then but mainly when I charged in thinking I was a badass. Tried the Hissing Waste too soon so I moved elsewhere and didn't go back until I finished all the other areas.

That rift in the Mire with the despair demons and Revenant are no joke either. I had to give up and come back later.

Yeah but I didn't even try that until after I finished the beacons so I had geared up at that point so I was prepared.

So I know that I shouldn't spend too much time in the hinterlands because I'll become OP, but I like it there. At what point should I just leave?
Posted on 2/1/15 at 10:07 am to Mr Gardoki
Everyone states that you shouldn't spend all your time in the Hinterlands but almost all of us spent all of our time in the Hinterlands.
It's the easiest spot to learn the game. On normal difficulty you can clear everything but the LVL 12 rifts.
I always clear the Hinterlands, then move to the Storm Coast to get Bull in my party. Clear out the Coast and move to the Fallow Mire and then the Oasis. Stick Crestwood somehwere in there. I always forget to find Varric on the ramparts to meet Hawk to get Crestwood opened up so I'm always way overpowered by the time I get to Crestwood.
