Dice has proven to be woefully incompetent and utterly incapable of having a campaign. no BF ever has had a good campaign.

after the opening, i was like "oh shite this is awesome"

then you get to these segments where you escort through the tank through the fog, wear a juggernaut suit, forced stealth segments, "gather 4 of these items," "blow up these 3 vehicles," "kill these 3 people and take the item," all with no story and no worthwhile characters. only character i had a smidge of regard for was the Aussie. the vehicle sections were much too long too.

those forced stealth segments....dear god. if you want to put stealth in a game, you have to think it through and do it right. you cant just pepper enemies wherever you want like in a shooter. you have to give them patrol routes, good AI, and perfect timing. everything has to run like a clock. In Battlefield, they throw 4 enemies around 1of4 items you have to steal, so you have to use the shitty distraction mechanic 4 times to lure each guard away and knife them. it's fricking horrible.

there were maybe 2 times i had fun in the campaign. the majority of it is just a draggggg and i beat it on hard just to get the achievements

I didn't use stealth at all except for the sniper mission with the windmills. The rest i found a good location and wasted everyone

Play operations. It is where it's at. Though, if you thought conquest had too much going on, you'll probably hate it

I can't believe they're still testing hardcore mode and have no release date. Wtf. Why were they not testing it in development before releasing the game?

I've officially given up on BF 1 because i suck too bad. I can't see the opponents, before i get shot up. Then i can't hit anything to save my life. So in response to this, i bought the new COD with the old maps expansion. Haven't played it yet, but i've always been able to string together a few kills on COD games. Granted, i don't play xbox nearly as much ever since we had our first kid a couple years ago.
