I'd say Oblivion but I'd suggest Fallout first.

Both are great. I'd probably go with Oblivion, even though it did get heavily repetitive at times. I spent over 120 hours playing that game back in college.

As people have said depends on your mood. I initially hated the VATS system but grew to love it and the slow mo death shots were fun.

Never played Oblivion, but I think Skyrim is technically a better game with much better/deeper armor and weapon upgrades, but I prefer the Fallout universe and humor quite a bit more, so I'll go with them.

Fallout. I like the dark, twisted, post nuclear war setting much better than the fantasy setting.

Oblivion. Fallout 3 was awesome though. New Vegas sucked.
