Nier, Horizon, or Persona 5

Got to the last area of Nioh 2 nights ago, and have pretty much 100%'d everything to this point, so I should have the Platinum trophy for it before the April 4th release of Persona 5... which means, I'm in a weird spot, which of these 3 games should I get next?!?!
I love 3rd person action games, I tend to get overwhelmed with too much open world - but absolutely love games like Zelda that have a narrative driven open world. Persona 4 was also one of my favorite games in the last 10 years... so I don't know

If you're really excited to play Persona 5, then just play that. I will say that Horizon is one of my favorite games, and I'm nearing the end. But it's not a quick play by any stretch. I'll be hitting up Nier once I finish.
And eventually I'll get back into Nioh. I started playing it right after finishing Bloodborne for the first time, and it just wasn't doing it for me.

Never played an of those games, but I"m going to go with Horizon. I'd like to play Persona, but I can't stomach a 100 hour game.

Is it not nice to have these problems?

Nier
I had a feeling you would say this, so I actually have a question for you about it...
the only game I have ever played more than once - were the soulsborne games - and the only reason I even replay them is to get the platinum for the games. I am just not really a big "play it again" type person, and New Game+ is just something I do not like doing:
For instance - for Nioh I'm making sure I can Platinum the game at the same time I'm fighting my last boss in the game, because I will just not play it again.
So with that being said, Nier FORCES your hand in this matter from what I've read... and playing a game more than once feels like a pretty big turn-off to me, but will I still enjoy it, and be drawn into playing it more than once?

I dont think there is a game I've played in my life from Platinum that I didnt enjoy. The bedg part about their games is they usually always make fun of their own shite in their games.
Their MO is hack and slash and this one is no different.

Sweet summer child
Knock out most of your sidequests in Route A. In Route B, you play the same shite as A but with a different character. Due to the nature of the 2nd character's abilities, you get lots more insight into the story. You will also be overleveled (by nature) so you can blaze through the main story. At the end of B, you start routes C/D. These run concurrently and are entirely new content/story/bosses.
Get it. Best game I've played in a while, and the story has really stuck with me since finishing.
ETA: if you want, you can skip all of B's side quests (shares unfinished side quests from A and adds a few new ones) and blaze through the main missions again, saving the side quests for later. You unlock chapter select at the conclusion of C/D, so you can always go back and do side quests later. Just know that B is the only content you play twice.
Also do not look up anything about the game. This is the last game on earth that you want spoiled for you. Ask any questions in the Nier thread

Persona 5, but I'm just in the mood for a great JRPG.

I just started playing Nier. Only about one hour in. Like the style so far. I'm hoping it picks up some steam soon.

Persona 5, but hard to say since I haven't played it yet. I need to get back on Horizon.
Horizon has more story than Zelda.

Knowing you Andvari, I think you'll like Persona 5 more. People are saying it's even better than P4 Golden. Who knows. I'm just glad that a few of you guys took the plunge into the series.
That said, Nier is excellent. It's also shorter to go through so it'll be easier to play imo. Don't get hung up on "replaying the game". It's literally designed for it. There's a reason that it takes you a bit of 10 hours to beat Ending A. Think of it more as a chapter of game. You're not done yet.

Sweet, I like this explantation. I'm thinking I might get more before p5, as one thing I liked about p4g was the guides to 100% by the time I was playing it. I'm also really having a hard time playing through bravely default right now... and I'm not sure why, kind of hoping it's the style of the game, and not that I'm getting sick of turn based games

Honestly, it's because the game isn't that great. Horrible 2nd half of the game with a story that isn't very good imo. It has a well designed battle system though.

so P5 or Kingdom Hearts 1.5 + 2.5? I haven't played kingdom hearts since the PS2 days but it's one of my favorite games ever.

I'd always pick new game over remaster of old games. Especially if you've beaten them already.
