Forksup, you are the co commish here what is your take on the situation? And how can we fix/make it better?? I listed the rules and we by it in the game, of course not everyone will like every rule, but it can be changed, so suggestions please??

Relax bro, it's all good. I think the main reason no one brought it up is because we all just kinda assumed no one would really do it is all.

And Tigernation going for it on 4th and 2 on the 30 is fine. Why is this an issue.
The rule states:
**Don't go for it on 4th down unless passed the 50 and it is 4th and 2 or less, or you are behind in 3rd or 4th qtr.

IMO, I think it's okay since it's allowed within the rules. It's just kind of crappy to do it in the 1st quarter, BUT it DOES happen. If it happens regularly, then I wouldn't like it (i.e. Once every game, etc.)

Your only issue is you gotta post trades in here before doing them. You obviously aren't the only one whos done that but still, people gotta start posting trades before making them.

I mean why have that specific rule if you are then going to say its not realistic? Its just hard to blame him as he was playing within the rules The one guy quitting over that is a joke. Ridiculous

I can agree with you on the trades. And send my apologies on the trade. To be fair that was the first time ive even traded on either league. But whatever. I will not apologize for going for the 4th and 2 though because I was clearly in the rules. But like I said we can discuss changing it.

No one is arguing whether it is in the rules or not. It clearly is.
My understanding of the rules is that they're meant to be a guideline to everybody being realistic.
I really don't care what the rules are. I think I can hang with pretty much anybody no matter how realistic they're being. All I want is consistency. If you preach being realistic, then be realistic (especially if you're commish). If you want people to post all trades before trading, then post before you trade.

Yeah I just don't get why hes mad. Its within the rules lol. The going for 2 part was even worse. I have no idea why he was upset over that.

So are we or are we not allowed to go for it on 4th and 2 or less in the 1st half in plus territory? I feel like the rule is pointless now if people are going to complain

And like I said if its going to offend people like it clearly has, then lets change it.
How about 4th and inches you can go for it anytime past the 50? Is that better? Fwiw Tom Brady goes for first downs like that ALL THE TIME. Im a big Pats fan and watch every game and have seen him do his pattened sneak play Time and again on 4th and 1 4th and 2...

Honestly 4th and inches almost anywhere you should be allowed to go for it. Unless maybe deep in your own territory. Say inside the 30

Well personally I think never in the first half unless you're getting blown out (if you're getting blown out obviously you can go for it anytime). The 4th and 2 past the 50 fine with me in the second half. Basically anytime you feel you HAVE TO go for it is more realistic.
You say the Pats do this all the time but they really don't. It just seems like they do.
They had a total of 15 total 4th down attempts in 2015.
But again, I'm fine with the rule as is, just let me know that I don't have to be realistic. I can just go by the specific rule.
EDIT: Actually I feel like using "Only go for it when you feel you have to go for it" is better than actually laying out a specific rule
