There are too many good games coming out! I don't have time for them all. 
I liked Nier and this is right up my alley.
Hack and slash are such great games.

I'm getting it at launch, but might be a while before I play it with Horizon and Zelda coming within a week.

Demo was okay. I agree too many good games out or coming out right now.
Might get it when it drops in price.
I could not get over how it kind of forces you to press R2 and R1 (or maybe it was L1 and L2) at the same time to be able to fight effectively. Almost no games do this so I have always only used my index finger to push both. Trying to use my index and middle finger up there is really awkward and uncomfortable for me.

L1 was to shoot, L2 was to lock on. I don't think I locked on much unless it was a single enemy

Never played the first Nier, but I played Drakengard back in the day. After playing the demo the other day, I'm super hyped about this game and it probably gonna be my next gaming purchase over Horizon, since I can't afford a Switch + BotW right now

L2 Lock on
L1 Pod Program
It must have been the pod program thing. If you did not lock on with that thing it was wasted.
But if I remember right the lock on has to be held down to work, it isn't a push to lock on like most games.

Yea, I had no issues with toggle lock. I think you had to press the joystick down or something.

It was L2 like I said earlier. There are different schemes you can change to but the starter scheme is L2.
After doing some research it is a hold lock on and a toggle lock on. So it you hold it down then let go it will stop being locked on but if you just tap it it will stay.
So just me not understanding the control scheme.
(I was probably holding L2 because I am so used to this being the aim zoom on games)
