They don't have everything. The selection of video cards there blows but for CPU, motherboards, RAM, hard drives and SSD drives and a lot of other items they can't be beat.

No, the 8350 has been shown to be equal to the 3570k. The only reason the 3570k is more desirable is because its a great overclocker.
If he's not overclocking then 8350 all day.
He lives next to a microcenter, though, so everything changes. OP, I would grab a 3570k and then get an extreme4 for $50 off or whatever that deal is then put some more money in a better video card

They are equal for most. There are a few games that rely on the CPU more and the 3570k does outperform. I think if he doesn't want to overclock he should get that 3470 to save more money since it performs well too. 3470 at microcenter was about $30-$40 cheaper I believe.

With those prices I would go intel. Extreme 4 is good, it's what I have.

Are their diff models of extreme4's, if so which do you recommend. And does the extreme4 also work with the 3470 if i get that CPU?

get the 3570k and ASRock Z77 extreme4 from microcenter. It'll come out to be $309 before taxes

You won't find anything good at microcenter concerning video cards and power supplies. They're going to be cheaper at newegg, amazon, etc

ok, ordering PS now. Will i need any additional fans or cooling? I plan on getting the R4 as recommended. Also, are sounds cards needed?
