Need a list of the top 5 XBox 360 games

I'm going to buy 5 xbox 360 games today. I would like some recommendations if you could buy any top 5 games for the Xbox 360.
I am definitely getting Madden 10. What other 4 would you suggest. I know it depends on what kind of games i'm into but really I'm looking for a good variety. Thanks whoever can help suggest whats the best.

Since you're buying today: Fallout 3, Halo 3, Bioshock, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. If you where gonna wait: Halo: ODST, Modern Warfare 2, Assassins Creed 2.

ETA: ODST is a ripoff for $65 if you have already downloaded all of the Halo 3 map packs. It's only a 6 hour campaign on the hardest difficulty. Less than that the easier you make it.
Are you saying you want to buy five games because you are budgeting $300 to spend, or is that an arbitrary number? I ask because plenty of great games are now only $19.99.
Also, I would wait for the Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition to drop if you want that game. All of the DLC is included for $59.99.

thanks im gonna review those suggestions. i was just trying to get some opinions and maybe suggestions how i should mix it up. price is not a concern bc i'm getting it from family members as a bday present.

You definitely want CoD4 Modern Warfare and to preorder Modern Warfare 2 (coming out November 11) if you're into FPS.

yeah all the legit games come out in november from what i can tell.

Resident Evil 5 ( seems like a fun shotgun kind of shooter.. but might get boring after a while? )

I kind of want a car driving game just to mix it up. I hear Forza 2 is really good.. but 3 will be coming out shortly as well..
i'll just wait for modern warefare 2 and not get either of the COD's.

Assassins Creed was one of those games that started as epic win and dropped off into meh territory by the end of it. There's only so many times I can pickpocket or sit on a bench and listen to a conversation I don't care about.
That being said, I can't wait for AC2.

It's a different type of shooter, it's nothing like Halo or COD. You have to aim your shots carefully and make each shot count, it defintley doesn't get boring. You'll need to get used to the controls.....it gets mixed reviews, I personally think its great. My only complaint is that the zombies move faster then you do.
