They made a serious effort to improve deficiencies.

I will buy it. I will not buy Madden

I think Madden is targeting a specific gaming audience.

With this game, it seems they said "frick the rest of you"

They should just call it Madden Online.

2K needs to get back in the fold once the EA contracts with the NFL and NCAA expire. They need competition in the worst kinda way. Plus NFL 2K5 is still the best football game of all time

NCAA isn't exclusive to EA. Most companies just won't make a college football game without the professional counterpart.

What are you talking about? You can still control a franchise all season long. Draft, free agency, ect.
All connected careers is is offline franchise, online franchise, and superstar mode all in one. You play it how you want to play it.

What's it say about being owner or GM?

Yeah. . .

Madden has been dying to get rid of Owner Mode, since they first started it.

I can't think of a reason for any person who wants to play offline, to buy this game.

Now there is no connectivity or continuity between the two.

So there is no real reason to get Madden. Unless you are just a fan of online-only play.

For this year yes, but NCAA doesn't even come close to the amount of money Madden brings in. The infinity engine is most awesomest dynamically game breaking football video game addition evar! (sarcasm aside it is really an outstanding and long needed addition) So Madden sales will potentially be even higher than normal.

NCAA 12 Sales

Madden 12 Sales

Not only would the company be competing with NCAA, but they would also be competing in the much smaller market. If they were able to make both games they could compete with madden and also potentially have consumers buy both products.

Exactly.

Now there is no reason for the NCAA fan to buy Madden.

Madden can't hold a candle to NCAA for offline play, or online dynasty. And it has been that way for years. Now, it seems Madden has completely conceded that entire mode to NCAA.

Madden has always had prettier gameplay, though.

Madden decided to make online play it's focus several years ago. The only reason I bought Madden the last few years, was to continue my RTG player in Superstar mode.

Madden outsells NCAA, but removing connectivity between the 2 will hit Madden's sales.

Oh, I fully agree, I was disappointed NCAA didn't get real time physics, but I made the mistake of purchasing madden last year and no matter what they add to that game I will never purchase it again. Franchise mode can't hold a candle to dynasty.

NCAA will still be a very good game this year. The passing system desperately needed the upgrade it got. It just makes me look that much more forward to NCAA 14 when they will have the real time physics and hopefully the gameplay focus will be on o-line/d-line.

Madden has always been a cleaner, prettier game than NCAA. . .but NCAA has always been deeper.

RTP is nice, but it just can't overcome neutered offline play.

I've always had the theory that EA intentionally keeps things like RTP from NCAA, to give the illusion of choice.

Are there any videos for NCAA from E3? They kept talking last week about releasing some new info, but I can't find anything.

Until they announce Athletic Director mode were you can upgrade stadiums, I really don't care. I have been requesting that kind of thing since PS2 days. Also, why can't they add the damn FCS schools and allow you to build a program by playing your way up and getting invited into conferences etc? But we can made a useless mode like Heisman mode that is basically road to glory with pre-created players? If Heisman Mode was situations that made them win the Heisman, like key situations, I think it would have been an awesome mode. Now knowing what it is, I am really ticked off and feel like they wasted resources doing something stupid and not adding FCS and an AD mode.

The devs always say because it takes up to much space even though they had all the teams back in on 02 or 04 i don't remember lol.
I think you will be able to upgrade stadiums next gen for sure.

You better be able too. I am one of those people that NEVER plays with good teams in Dynasty. I like to build up my team. But it wears on my damn nerves playing in a 3,000 capacity stadium.
