Should be getting delivered to my house at some point today, reviews are not good but I'm gonna hold out and try to form my own opinion

Sounds like finding a custom set of sliders online is gonna be a must for this game but we ll see

I've been playing career mode. I have like 5 races left in year 1. 24th in points.

It's good? Are you using a wheel? I wanted to get it, but all the reviews I read say it's terrible.

The driving is fine, but it's a real stretch to say this game deserves to be 60 dollars. It is extremely bare bones. You have all the drivers and all the tracks, a challenge mode, a mode that lets you play through a series with a real driver, and a career mode.

The career mode has no depth whatsoever. You basically drive a shite car finishing near last or in the bottom 20 (unless it's a road course) every race until you finally accrue enough upgrades from the extremely linear skill tree to upgrade your car to where you're competitive.

This game has zero presentation. No TV-style overlays or anything like that. Just a quick video introduction to the track before the race starts.

The framerate is pretty inconsistent. For the most part, it's 30 FPS but it tanks at weird spots or when there's an ancident. There's also a lot of screen tearing which is weird for a console game.

If all you want to do is race on a track and you can get several hours of enjoyment out of it, I'd say it's worth it. Just don't expect the typical bells and whistles of a $60 AAA game.

Anybody find some decent sliders (more like just settings) for this thing?

Played for awhile last night and could quite get it nailed down

Can you start as a rookie and build your car and sponsors? I heard you couldn't use a name only gamer tag

I'm not sure as I'm not gonna start career until I unlock all the tracks but in all the other modes you just go by gamer tag

I Got it last night, it's actually a lot better than I thought it would be. I started a career and finished 28th in my first race. Handling is pretty good and gets worse during the race. Pit stops are important in longer races. It's a very basic game but it's fun. Nope not worth $60. But $35 would be fine.

Did anyone ever play Gran Turismo like on 2000? Are their any games like that where you start off with a Poo car and buy parts and get better and the races go up in money and difficulty?

What difficulty settings are you using? I'm trying to find the right balance

Also appears to me at first you can't even adjust your cars setup before a race or save setups in career. Guess you can't afford a wrench yet

Another thing is I used to set these things up where you'd have a little longer race than default and it would have one out stop. So far I've only been able to make the races long enough to where my tires completely give up but I don't run out of fuel but I can't pit cause none of the AI cars do

Whatever the default settings are. The game def lacks but it wasn't bad, I don't wanna win right away anyway. But I think top speed at Charlotte was 171? And I've been in person and they pushed 197 I think? For sure above 190.

I wish they would explain more about adjustments. I've watched some NASCAR but I don't know what to do in pits. I raced online last night and some guys crushed me I couldn't keep up and I was riding the same path as them.

Yea I've noticed the speeds are lower than they should be as well

There are some good YouTube videos out there that explain the adjustments I can link if you want

Anyone figure out how to set up your car before the race in career mode? It may be that I just haven't unlocked it yet

i loved painting the cars and putting silly shite on them, then i sort of got bored with the game.

very hard to drive, w/o a wheel. especially to be good enough to win races

Driving on this game seems ok. I dunno what a NASCAR fan thinks but it's fine with me. Pretty difficult. I finish around 20th. But you gotta make money and upgrade your garage to get better. But the top 1-6 ish lap me on some races. I did 14% length which is about 20 min racing
