AC4 was a great game, wish they would make a game based off that game and just go straight pirate story, no AC at all. Hell an update to Sid Meyer's Pirates would be amazing.

I actually like some of the hated endings.

I had Zero problem with Last of Us. Hell, I was pissed I didn't get to pull the trigger. There was no guarantee that having her brain would yield anything. Some people didn't like the abrupt ending but we know they got back to Tommy. I didn't need a reunion.

I also had no problem with ME3 but I didn't play it until 2015 so I played the patched game. My problem was with my initial choice. I didn't think it through and didn't realize I was killing Legion and Edi. So I played again and went with synthesis.

I felt relieved and a sense of accomplishment with ME1. Also loved the end song kicking in at the end.

Same for Unchartered 4. Even though the epilogue was tad slow, I enjoyed seeing the family and loved the ending score.

I do also.

HL2:E2 ends perfectly for that series.

You start it out within the first 30mins with a sense of hopelessness. You feel like in no way you can over come the odds even when things go right.

The series ends perfectly. With a sense of hopelessness.

Ohhh, this is tough.

Final Fantasy IX is probably my favorite. Literally stood and cheered at one point. LINK (28:40 was moment of said cheering )

Persona 3 was also quite memorable (and quite sad). LINK The True "Golden" ending for Persona 4 Golden was great as well.

Lastly, throw in shouts for Drakengard 1, 3, Nier, and Nier: Automata. All of the games in the series have final/true endings that are just incredible.
