I just the finished the ambush level in the mountains with the Rangers and started the Apache mission. The ambush one was intense. I was literally kinda scared.
The Apache mission is pretty damn badass...almost as memorable or fun as the AC130 mission in CoD4.

That's the one where the Apache's save your arse right? Where everyone's running out of ammo?
I felt the exact same way. There's an even more intense mission coming up.

Yeah, that's the one. The tone of the guy's voice. I think it was Patterson (he's the running character throughout all the MOH games and I think is the grandson of Jimmy Patterson from Frontline)...it was bleak. It felt real.
I know this game isn't perfect, but if there's one thing they've done completely right is pacing, tone, look and feel and audio. I really need to watch that Roberts Ridge video.

you will be affected by the game in a total different way after watching. At least, I was. Knowing it's based off true events, made me connect to the game more. More than MW2.
But like you said, the pacing, tone, feel, etc. is great.

I will.
Oh, you should check the Black Ops thread before the videos are taken down. If you search "Black Ops internal beta" on YouTube, you'll find a few videos here and there. They will take them down, but new ones will surface. Strange.

I picked the game up Friday and finished the campaign Sunday night. Damn that was a solid campaign. 50 cal thermal sniping, driving the apache, 50 cal gunning out of the back of a chinook. Everything was solid. Can't say I expected to be that into a campaign but I was.

You beat it already? I don't think I'm halfway there.

I'm pretty good at the battlefield type games. And aim assist helps me a bunch.

yeah, i picked it up Tuesday, played a little, then played Friday night and beat it. The thermal .50 cal mission is awesome. The sound effects in the game are amazing. Especially with my TB's on.

The only thing I found a little confusing was trying to use one weapon on a helicopter or whatever the binoculars do. I didn't know for a while that there were multiple weapons. Rockets and hellfire missles make a world of difference on the apache.

yeah, and the 500lbs bombs on the airfield make a difference on the tanks too. Once you realize that you can switch between them on the Apache...it makes a world of difference.

I failed the Apache mission three times before figuring out that I had missiles on my right trigger.

I find one of the hardest things to do, is when in a shootout or even in teh Apache, is finding the fricking RPGers. Doesn't help that they are shooting 30 at a time also.

Me too. But missles are on the right bumper. Hellfire is on the left trigger or bumper. I tried shooting everyone with the gun for a few times.
I played multiplayer for a while also. My k/d sucks and I usually go negative. Snipers fricking piss me off.

multi isnt going to work out for me
as soon as I beat SP, this bitch is going on ebay or craigslist

Multi isn't bad if you played bbc2. I've only played Team Assault and if you get behind the snipers you can wreck shop. I play as a rifleman or spec ops mostly.

I like the multiplayer okay. The snipers are rampant because that's what most of these dbags think is fun, but I usually try to sneak around or behind them with my M4 or that sweet arse little gun in spec ops on the Taliban side. I don't know what it's called, but that little pee shooter is the tits.
