MLB The Show 24 released last night at midnight

Surprised there’s no thread… anyone playing? I played briefly last night and enjoyed it

Preordered so had early access since last week. A few things I've noticed since playing DD.
They definitely toned down cards this year.
Team Affinity seems easier to grind, but I wish they kept Showdowns the same.
Hitting is pretty much the same.
Kids created a two way player for RTTS. I suggested a knuckle ball closer. He is unhittable. They've played maybe 30 games with him and he still rocks a 0.00 ERA.
Side note. I've been trying to grind Conquest Maps with my Portal and my internet connection makes it impossible. The lag is so bad.

If your wifi is bad, try hard wiring(directly connecting) your system via ethernet cable directly. That should fix your lag issue

I want this on PC. The only negative about ditching console has been no MLB games, and now no new NCAA.

I'm assuming you have to pay for whatever the Xbox cloud thing is? Back when I had a console it was PS.

The Team Affinitys are really easy once you get the first card. If its a pitcher just keep playing the event as you get 10000 points for just throwing 3 innings in multiplayer.
Glad they got rid of the 99s on Day 1 like they did last year. The power creep model is more fun and they completely botched it last year. We'll see how the seasons work out however.

Anytime I try playing it on my gaming laptop, I get lag that it makes hitting impossible. But I can load Xbox cloud up on my shitty android tablet and it plays flawlessly. I'm glad I can play it, but it pisses me off that I can't figure out how to get it to run smoothly on my laptop.
