Call of Duty and Warcraft/Overwatch futures just got interesting.

Activision ruined WoW, in my book.

It's not good until Blizzard gives corporate America the middle finger and goes back to doing what they want, but the people who would do that are long gone.

Once again, Microsoft proving why Sony may win the console sales war but they’re going to buy up everything and take over the future by making Xbox not just a console

Bye bye Warcraft, at least any semblance of the OG version.

Why couldn't they have just paid 69B instead of 68.7

Sony should go after EA if they want to be able to compete.

I would rather Microsoft own a company than Activision. I really think this might be good for Blizzard.

I seriously doubt its going to make things worse, at the very least. No new StarCraft in sight, WoW has been a glorified cell phone game for several expansions now, and all we are getting in terms of regular Warcraft are remasters that were buggy. I'm not super familiar with Diablo, but I know that franchise has its issues too.

i think it'll be good for the company based on the recent news coming out of activision about sexual harrassment among other things. hopefully this means that kotick is out as well.

but we're in a wait and see mode for when it comes to us, the players. i hope it doesn't go any further than a parent company name change, but i think that's wishful thinking.

Not sure how I feel about this. Feels like it is somehow lessening competition in the space.

More competition >>>> less competition

If activision didn't have the rot coming from the top down that it has, I might agree.

I also think the game space is a little different from other markets. Getting the resources that Microsoft has can be a big help even to a company like activision.
