Just had played my first game front to back. OBJ had 18 catches for 335 yards It's almost comical how easy it is to abuse the great receivers. But then at the same time, there's a billion ways to play defense that it can work against you like it did for me against the COwboys user in my previous post.

Playing the Patriots, neither one of us can stop the other. He sat in cover 3 most of the time then would try to send the house to get instant pressure or Cover one. He went up 0-13 (he went for it and didn't convert.) I threw a bad pick on a screen too on my opening possession. He swooped down and pick six'd me. The Giants Safeties are so suspect Edelman, Amendola, and Hogan each caught a pass over the top on Collins and Thompson. It was clock work to throw a post pattern deep for him. Then, after I scored leaving :30 on the clock, sitting back in two man under Quarter, Amendola beats his CB AND Thompson for an 80 yard TD.

In the fourth quarter I'm driving late up 34-32. 18 catches later and he's finally deciding "Maybe I should guard OBJ" I dump it into a flat a few times then I throw a bad one over the middle to Cruz. Picked Off! He starts to power run his way to a FG and run out the clock for a W. I run commit on a run that was audible to a pass play hoping to stuff the run or give up a TD. He gets a pass over the top then proceeds to head to the sideline to run Out of bounds and kill my timeouts and possibly win the game with a FG/TD. I STRIP THE DAMN BALL 5 yards away from the sideline. I pick it up and that's game I run the ball twice then audible and throw deep to OBJ. He gets it one handed. Game. Set Match. 5-0.

All-Madden last year was not challenging

Yeah but I adjusted the sliders. Regular all madden I went like 14-2

All you have to do to change the type of catch is press the corresponding button you want. You don't have to hold it or anything. However, position is paramount in this years game, as well as height. If you are trying to aggressive catch with someone like Emmanuel Sanders in double coverage you are going to have a bad time. Likewise, if you do it with someone like Kelvin Benjamin, you might be a bit better off because of his height but may suffer because of the dropsies. Ratings matter in jump balls I believe more so than in any previous version of Madden.

I think we're waiting on a patch for the tipping off of run/pass play. Though I haven't read anything on that being addressed yet.

Do any of you run a 4-3 defense?

I'm torn. I've built a 4-3 team, but just got the Von Miller LTD Use. Also, I like the option of universally throwing all 4 of my LBs into zone coverage with 2 clicks...well 3 clicks if you base align. I might just put Miller at DE in my 4-3.

On that note, has anyone ever put a 3-4 OLB at 4-3 DE or vice versa and noticed that they're better at one than the other?
