I'm just starting my first franchise. Any keys or tips to helping specific players progress during the season? I haven't played a madden franchise since like 2004

I wouldn't be able to help you much there. I don't know the correct answers to that because I haven't played much. Good question though, I'll be awaiting an answer too.

I've been holding off on getting serious with the mode until the patch is out per what EA suggested.

I ran into one of these when I had a rookie o-lineman fall from a 78 his rookie year to a 72 after the off-season for no apparent reason.

I lost Brees in preseason of year one for 35 weeks, broken femur. Rolling with Grayson so far and he's been decent

I restarted last night and went the route of LSU with the Jags, like we were talking about. For some reason some of the players I traded for didn't show up on my roster when I started the season. I may have just not been paying attention and thought trades went through when they didn't.

I completely dominated the game. TM7 had a Pick 6 (my first INT in the game ever), PP7 had a INT. Mett was a beast passing to Landry and Lafell. Beckham went down with an injury early in the game, and Bowe was one of the players who didn't show up. Was pretty damn fun...Now that I heard the news about the patch I think I'm going to wait it out and restart, with all of the LSU players I originally thought I had.

^ That's why I turn injuries off in CFM. For the most part I pick a team (or make a team) with players I want to play with. It isn't as fun if they get hurt.

I take that to mean that position change is back in Madden? I loved moving a 95+ speed corner to DE and rushing the QB off the edge. 20 sacks regularly and more importantly tons of rushed passes.

This is the first Madden game I've bought since the late 90's, but apparently so. I thought you were always abke to edit positions.

I'm still rolling with my LSU squad. 4-1 as the jags. My only loss comes to the pats. Got destroyed by them early but came back to make it a game. Went on the next week to beat the Colts. Mett is an absolute animal, but having Beckham sure helps. Hill is pretty solid as my back. I am struggling some on defense, but my offense is among the best in the league.

Just started the process of sending the jags to L.A. The Red Drags, full of Tigers, are coming to a stadium in Cali real soon.

Haven't updated in a while, so here is one. Last I posted I was 4-1 with my LSU/Jaguars.

I am now sitting at 11-1 and am 1 game away from locking up the division. Mett has been an absolute beast, but I just lost him for the remainder of the season in my last game. He should be back for the playoffs. I'm going to have to finish off the year with Matt Flynn. 1 play after I lost Mett, I lost Beckham to a serious injury. He was also 2nd in yards and touchdowns when he went down. I should get him back by the AFC Championship game if I make it. Hill and Blue have carried the load for my RBs and Hill I'm doing pretty good with Hill, just hit over the 1,000 yard mark.

My move to Los Angelas has become official, and next season LSU East with become LSU West as the L.A Red Dragons.

I'm in a fight for the first place in the AFC. I recently ran into an 8-0 Ravens and a 9-1 Chargers. I fell behind to the Ravens early, but came back and won comfortably. The Chargers game was tough as hell (that's the game I lost Mett and Beckham), but I edged out a 7 point victory. Both teams are now sitting at 10-2, so I have a 2 game lead over both for the AFC top spot, with 5 games to go.

I'm hoping I get my rematch with the Patriots in the playoffs, because I owe them an arse kicking. Will probably need both Mett and Beckham in the Divisional round if I'm going to beat the Ravens, Chargers or Patriots.

The LSU Jaguars win the Super Bowl!!!!!

It was a fun season, which I finished 18-1.

If you read previous post, I lost Mett and Beckham to injury towards the back end of the season. Mett returned for my final regular season game, but I benched him because I had home field advantage locked up. Beckham returned in the AFC Conf. championship game, but went down before halftime with a damn broken hand.

In the Divisional round of the playoffs I ran into the Ravens again. I destroyed them, which sent me to the Conference Championship against the Patriots, who handed me my only loss at the beginning of the season. It was a neck and neck game the whole way through. Patriots scored a touchdown with 4 minutes to go to tie. I took my time driving down the field and kicked a field goal to win it 31-28.

That brought me into the Super Bowl against the Eagles. This was the best defense I had faced all season. I struggled to run and pass at times. Luckily, I am a beast against the run and held Murray in check and Bradford can't pass worth a crap. My defense was on point and I led 28-14 midway through the 4th. Eagles put up a TD with about 4 minutes left and then kicked off. I was forced into a passing down on 3rd down and Mett threw his 2nd interception of the night, giving the Eagles the ball 20 yards away from their own endzone. My defense held them to 4th and goal, but they converted on a great catch in the back of the end zone to tie the game with 1:30 left.

I had 3 time outs left and began my drive down the field. I was lucky enough to get into field goal range and kicked a FG with time expiring to win the Super Bowl 31-28. Another great game.

My second season, now as the L.A Red Dragons has begun. Will hopefully be getting in a game or two tonight to test out the new squad.
