Madden 11 pump fake glitch?

I just played this douche who used some pump fake glitch to make all my defenders blitz. I finally quit the game down 64-70 in the 3rd quarter - obviously he sucked without his cheat.
Is there any defense at all to stop that shite?

i've always suspected these games were developed way more closely than they let on. now they have the same glitch on Madden 11 that was fixed on NCAA 11 at least 2 months ago
