I was constantly blown away by Witcher 3. I think it's in my top 5 all time, easily top 10 for me. To each their own though, I could never get into Mass Effect which most people love.

My life is pretty nice. Not enjoying Bethesda games isn't exactly something that will ruin one's life, although I can see how your perspective might be warped as you sleep with your copy of Fallout 4 under your pillow.
It does amaze me how Bethesda continues to convince people that their games are good with shitty core gameplay, half-baked stories, janky and glitchy graphics, and basic RPG choices. They have a terrific marketing team.

Skyrim is a bore to me, but Obilvian ruled my late teens and early 20s. It was one of those must have PC titles.
FO4 isn't FO3 but once you dive in the damn game grabs you.

It was the better game. Skyrim had not of a following because it was an Elder Scrolls so more ppl had eye balls I'm front of it that year.
Thought Skyrim was very slow and didn't feel like Elder Scrolls to me. Maybe that why I never liked it, because it's not Morrowind or Obivilian.

Yes bloodborne was #1 for me. I can't remember what else came out that year. I liked fo4 more than witcher but I do think witcher is a better game.
Eta: I think giant bomb picked Mario maker last year for goty. I could make an argument for rocket league .

Arkham City and Dark Souls both came out in 2011 and are better games than Skyrim as well
I've never played Oblivion but I doubt I'd like it. The core gameplay of every Bethesda RPG I've played just hasn't done it for me.
Yet I bought both Skyrim and FO4 so joke's on me

Damn forgot about AC. Dark Souls is highly debatable.
FO4 is a good game. Lore is awesome and the world that is built is something uniquem. So FO can stand on its own with that but Elders Scrolls was a RPG that had unique dark feeling to the story, Skyrim it was just a bad RPG.

I think it's pretty week to pick Mario Maker. Remember City of Heroes giving you nearly full access to their engine to create missions for the game? And that was for a damn MMO 10yrs ago!

I tried to get into FO4 as well. Only part I liked about it was the character creator.
My biggest problem with all of Bethesda's games is that the core gameplay just doesn't grab me. I didn't enjoy the shooting in FO4 to justify doing it for the duration of the game. I don't enjoy the really horrible combat in TES games. And the other aspects of the game (presentation, story, etc) aren't enough to gloss over the bad gameplay.
I guess we all have highly-acclaimed series that just don't click with us. You hate Uncharted. OP hates Witcher. I hate Bethesda RPGs.
