I kind of wish it was the GI too. Vader being in FO was perfect. GI here would have been fantastic. Vader should always be used sparingly, like the shark in Jaws

Yeah, we never really get to see the GI in action. To feel like Cal and Cere were at the top of his list to where he is putting in personal appearances would be fitting by this point in the game/story.

According to the Kenobi series, Vader should have been preoccupied. But like I said, had it been a weakened Vader from that fresh battle with Kenobi, it would have been more plausible that Cere could hold her own against him.

I wish Vader had been saved to show up right after Cal killed Bode. To congratulate him on leading them to a planet where instead of a secret paradise where those persecuted by the Empire could remain hidden, it shall now be a planet reformed into a death camp (expirements on and clones of jedi) especially for the Jedi and enemies of the empire.

Vader takes Merrin and Kata as prisoners while
taunting Cal on his embrace of the darkside, murder of Bode and death of Cere. Cal tries to attack but is stopped in his tracks right before landing a killshot on Vader, though not by Vader as you assume at first. He is slowly levitated and taken prisoner by force of The Emperor himself who steps out and makes his appearance.

"Betrayal..has made you stronger than loyalty..young..Jedi..".

He says before using the sith lightning, which causes cal to lose consciousness after the battle with Bode, it's just too much.

"There is more power to this planet than you realize, my young apprentice" the Emperor says to Vader while walking away..

The skies over Tanalorr are revealed to be filled with the Imperial Fleet as we end this chapter on a cliffhanger as the Emperor is heard laughing

Eta

Cutscene after credits reveals BD-1 is safe and making its way to where ever Cal is being held

Just finished up last night and over all am extremely pleased with this sequel. I loved FO probably a top 5 game of that year for me.

Pretty good story beats and action sequences. The giant machine fight with Merrin on Jeddha (sp?) was bad arse. The vader was ok, but was much better done in FO. Side stuff was fun. i still actually need to finish up finding the last 3 scuba stev locations just to hear the end of his stupid tale lol.

the platforming force tear had my right hand really feeling some pain lol. had to take a break from the game after spending way too long trying to string together the perfect run.

Which one? There’s two truly awful platforming ones imo the one that involves zip lines and changing directions (this is where I figured out you can speed up or slow down on zip lines) or the one where you have to blow through a ton of green portals/shields?

Imo there’s only like 50% of perks actually worth considering. There’s a few obviously strictly meant for blaster stance. Shatter which could be one of the first perks if you can take the rancor that early is one of the best in the entire game and only takes 2 spots. Flux can be really good depending on your playstyle. The one that increases your damage but also makes you take more takes 4 slots but I run it mostly. And the few that deal with giving you more damage after stance switching or using the force.

Blaster stance is really really amazing in a 1v1 fight. Its not the worst outside of it but its been relegated to mostly the boss stance paired with either dual wield (mostly) double blade (so OP way better than in FO) or Crossguard for a boss like golden scorpion because frick that thing on grandmaster.

At the time it was the only one I had encountered and was the green screen one.

I recently happened across another that utilizes a bunch of floating platforms that wasn’t too bad. Haven’t found the zipline one yet

Dont forget the ability to speed up and slow down on ziplines on that one. It is something I went 100 hours without knowing you could do. Also, something cute, holding down on dpad will have Cal check how bd is doing and sometimes theyll fist bump. Also I wanna say the zipline one was the last one I found for the gold trophy for those group of force tears, I wanna say it was like on corrosant or somewhere perhaps the green screen in undercity meats but I do remember it requires all available abilities in the game to access. Phoqie caverns is another possible place idk just get the map upgrades lol.

Ahh I love my downvoters welcome back you mustve been frothing at the mouth the past 5 or so days I was absent. Over those 5 I did complete grandmaster run from scratch and not new game plus and have a few things I think are absolutely paramount to success if anyone is wanting to try this extreme challenge.

This is by far the best Star Wars product/storyline that has been put to screen since the original trilogy. Just finished the spoiler fight with Cere and I guess going into the final end game stuff

This is how you add new characters to the existing universe.

Oh I dont see how anyone could even make a halfhearted argument against your point. You could argue the presented main antagonist Ravis and Daran arent really present, matter, or are fleshed out too much but IMO that is kind of the point Ravis wasnt Cals "true" enemy ever they had a mutual respect and Daran is a red hering why waste valuable time there. HE served his purpose and on GrandM his 3rd fight was properly hard and below Rayvis and (final boss since youre not there yet probs in terms of just story bosses.

You could have an argument the story meanders and is a slow maguffin chase for a while and I would agree but I think all of these moments are put towards this games highest priorities and that is its characters.

BTW you have like 2 hours of game left. Likely much more than you thought.

Meh I think it just depends on the style of game you want. KOTOR is an amazing game but to produce a full length KOTOR game with all that entails and doing it correctly, while maintaining the visuals and crispness of Survivor would be a massive ask of respawn and a massive financial ask of EA. I imagine its budget would at least 3x as much.

In 2013 EA signed a ten-year deal allowing the company to exclusively make Star Wars games for Lucasfilms. This deal resulted in moderate hits like Star Wars Battlefront 1 and 2, and Star Wars: Squadrons, as well as the critical hit Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.

Now, some other companies need to step up. Or EA can drop battlefront, squadrons and etc. Then just focus those budgets, artists and time into another singular title.

I feel like survivor has been an overall success thus far.

Battlefront 2 was banging after like a year + the game was great it sucks they are shutting it down. I think they should let respawn finish this trilogy but I do not believe theyre the guys to be handed KOTOR as talented as they are.

I mean how is it not on the same level of Fallen Order for you im genuinely curious. Its more or less the same base fundamentals as I laid out to some loser in the EA thread but massively overhauled to cut what didnt work so well and massively expand and upgrade more.

2 things I think you may respond with

- You liked the relatively less scaled back story more
- You liked the more smaller planets (sometimes insanely small) than 1 giant 1 big and 4 strictly linear story planets.

I like them both and Survivor.

I think it achieves more visually, with mechanics and overall playability.

I feel it lacks in story, character development and taking everything to a new level. Bode and Gera were not used right imo. And the Grand Inquisitor should have been the one to kill Cere.

I also want more options of planets and worlds. I've seen what can be done with Mass effect.

I dont think it intended to take things to a new level, as I said it stripped the shite from fallen order and kept what was good while building on anything left. So maybe I would say that they got the most out of the foundation fallen order established.

How do you feel it lacks in story? I mean I can see preferring the smaller more intimate story of fallen order but Survivor certainly wouldnt meet the low qualifications of lacking especially with all the massive end pay offs. It does what a second part of a trilogy should, expand the world and stakes and leave our heroes at their lowest.

Cal gets 10x the character development in this game than the first, some of the side ones meh Merrin gets way more since she didnt join till 90% of the game was over, Cere and Greeze are arguable.

How would you have used Bode? Maybe you saw the betrayal but I dont believe anyone who says they saw he was a Jedi coming. Dagan I agree with I just dont know the solution.

I will agree Fallen Order had a much better villain in Trilla.

I wanted it to, I like when star wars elevates a story with a sequel.

lot of it felt simply back and forth. We repeat some of the 1st game in ways.

They're not at their lowest, could be worse. My 1st post on this page at the top is what I would have been blown away with.

Not as the final boss. And I'd have spared his life till the 3rd game.

Enemy of my enemy.

Gera would have been an opponent of the empire and the jedi. His power was sorta squandered. He knew knowledge that people lost over the decades. He could've been a legit antihero if used right.

The big bad in this game would have been the GI and Inquisitors. They are mid to upper level threat, and I'd save the Darkside/Vader and possibly Emperor for the final game.

I think the post at the top of this page wouldbe been incredible but Disney does have a say in this and there was no way this game was ever going to end that dark

The problem with your layout of Gerra is that just leaves Rayvis as we have presented to us and he isnt really ever Cals enemy. There is a mutual respect between them. Maybe instead of killing him he uses the mind trick to change him and Gera becomes a mantis member idk. I believe Bode in this game hinges entirely on what they choose to do with his daughter im the final game. It is my suspicion she is the important one not him and this was an off the normal beats wat of bringing her into the story.

I do expect Merrin to die in game three though and not late like fairly early second act or hell if they have balls 30 min into the game.

What I dont want is them to shoe in Saw and form some rebellion yada yada, this needs to be the mantis crew doing mantis things.
