I can't find it with a search. Don't remember much about it except that it's ridiculously complex and you can manipulate the other leaders and all that.

Anybody help me out?

I was curious so I got in YouTube to watch gameplay. Had no idea what was going on so I started a tutorial series. I'm 2 hours in to the guy explaining stuff and we haven't even professed a year. And I'm super intrigued.

You're going to hate it the first few hours.

After that you won't want to stop.

I haven't played CK2 in over a year now. I am too damn hooked on Europa Universalis IV and I keep trying to get into Hearts of Iron III but that is a whole different beast.

Paradox is stealing my soul.

Feel the same way but with CK2. Bought EUIV when they had a 75% off sale a week or two ago on steam, but who knows when I'll get around to playing that. I can see CK2 keeping my interest for a while.

I've been too scared to buy this as I think it will steal my soul.

I've played many strategy games in my life, but I can't figure out how in the hell to play EU 4. I wasted $50 on that one.

I don't care much for HOI 3, the way the screen interface is set up, the design... its the only Paradox game I haven't been able to get into. I prefer Hearts of Iron II, though there are some balance issues with that game (I'm currently finishing up the conquest of Italy... with Australia).

From what I hear Hearts of Iron 4 is going to be much more user friendly while still being a challenging game.

If you can learn the basics of how things work, you'll get hooked. There is a steep learning curve though. Good luck my friend

Same. Haven't played CK2 in a few months. Different beasts, but very, very similar.

Paradox is an excellent developer. I had forgotten they made Mount&Blade until I started it up a few days ago.

yeah, HOI3 is just insane. I can never seem to quite grasp it. I tried running the USA but by the time I joined the war, the Axis had everything and it was basically just me and Canada vs the World. I then tried the USSR, did fine and actually was able to take over Romania, Turkey, Persia, Afghanistan, as well as the usual Finland, and the Baltic and set up a good line of defense against Germany but they still were able to just bullrush me to Moscow before the Allies ever opened a second front...

I really like what I've seen out of the HOI4 dev diaries and gameplay but we shall see.
