This is the longest I've been at the top. Coyote's been holding out for Titan X's or 980 Tis.

These were at 4.8 on CPU 1150/1500 on GPU

Waiting on the 390X, hopefully a pair of them.

Our scores are pretty similar, just wondering what your specs are? If I remember correctly you have 2x 970s and 4790k? What are your OCs on CPU/GPU?

Also, ILike, I saw your benchmarks in the other thread, I saw that I have a higher physics score in Firestrike but you had higher in 3DM11, what's the OC on your 4770? I know it's not a huge difference but I'm just curious. I figured my physics would have been higher than yours in both, but admittedly I haven't exactly fine tuned a benchmarking OC. It's just my 24/7. I can do most benchmarks at 5.0 since I delidded but I'm still not comfortable with the Vcore it requires to run for anything but benching.

I also run 3DM from my HDD, I really don't see having them on my SSD making much of a difference but I could be completely wrong. I just run the demo versions because I just want to make sure my hardware is in line with similar setups. The next time it's on sale on steam though I plan on getting the full versions.

I sometimes have fluke runs where my physics score is lower, often up to 1000 points lower, but generally it hovers between 11,000-11,500 for 3dmark11 and 13000-13500 for Fire Strike.

My 4770K is at 4.7GHz, so since it has the same IPC as the 4790K, I'd say your Fire Strike score is about right, give or take 500. Check your other runs for 3dmark11. I'd agree that yours should be higher there, even with typical variance. 3DMark11 is weird. It's less tolerant of unstable overclocks in my experience -- not that your CPU is necessarily unstable, but 3dmark11 could be sensitive to a setting or something. For example, I don't have any C-state or power-savings on my 4770K, so it runs at 4.7 GHz all day, every day. If you're using C-state or speedstep, 3dmark11 could be sensitive to any amount of dynamic response from the CPU. Even if it shows you at full clock during the run, C-state also has the ability to stop particular cores and reduce power to the uncore (which handles memory controls, cache, PCIe, etc). Check power options in Windows too.

No particular reason why I keep power savings off. It's mostly out of habit because the adaptive/C-state stuff used to be problematic with overclocked CPUs, but it's not anymore. Try turning off all power-saving options and give it some more runs.

Yeah, there's no difference other than how long it takes to load the next test.

Yea I have no power saving features on in BIOS, I've always been the same way, run full OC/Vcore 24/7, and have HPC mode on in windows. As far as stability I pass 12hrs Aida full suite and 12hrs XTU, and use it daily on large Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects files, plus gaming etc. What kind of Cinebench numbers do you get?
