You have to beat loads of real golf player characters and computer characters.

Over the years I worked through the list.

And I could really get a lot of points and buy stats at the end of each tour card when there was a skins game or a tournament match.

So over time I upped my stats and got better when doing that.

But the players kept on getting harder and harder. You play 1v1 skins with them. You would have to play the entire round of 18, unless of course you were getting demolished.

So. Once I had my Gamecube here or there I'd only play Tiger Woods PGA tour 2003 off and on until I beat the next Tiger Challenge character at had. My Gamecube is here. 1 year ago I remember beating the fake character to move onto Vijay Singh. Man. That took at least 10 playthroughs to beat. I eventually had to master the skill of slicing and really hone my putting skills. I beat him about 2 weeks ago.

Next I had to face the last computer character before Tiger Woods. This guy was deemed a "local" so he knew every trick in the book and was extremely lucky. I beat him after facing him 3 times. I took a break.

Then 3 days ago I faced Tiger for the first time. He mopped the floor with me on the first round. Expected.

Then it was looking the same the next day when I tried on the second round, yet, not. I came back! It was looking to be a great golf story! I couldn't pull out the win though. He beat me by 2 holes in the end. There was a run there where it was 3 eagles spread across 4 holes and I had 2 of them. And, see, there's this one hole that is impossible for me to par. I had to get into how to flop and punch the ball to get another shot specifically for that hole. That and my putting was off.

Then we have today. Today, I don't know. My putting was just on. Nothing incredibly lucky occurred. He didn't spaz out and go past his shot limit like before. It was just straight up gold. And in the certain situations I needed to make a tight putt, I did. I made it in the hole. I got 2 up early on him and remained 2 up until that hole that I couldn't figure out. I dropped 1, but still remained up on him. I knew then I just had to play even with him for the rest of the round and I could win.

So there I was, hole 18. Just had to make par. And it was a putt for birdie. And it was straight in. Tiger could only make par.

I sunk it.

I beat Tiger Woods using Tiger Woods in the Tiger Challenge on Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003!

The sheer amount of time needed to play this and beat it was the hardest part. You have to keep your wits for more than 30 minutes a round. It's intense. Every shot counts.

This is my biggest video game accomplishment in skill and scope since I beat Super Mario World, which I started when I got my SNES way long ago when I was a kid. I beat Super Mario World in 2010. Today, I beat Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 only 12 years later.

I did it!
