Help been out of the game for around 10 years!

Just purchased a series X to play with my son. Do I need Xbox live to play online multiplayer, and how much is it per month? Is game pass worth it and how much is it per month? Halo infinite came in the bundle, any good? Thanks I’m lost!

Yes
Game Pass Ultimate combines Xbox Live and Game Pass for 15 bucks per month. You can probably get it cheaper if you pay for a year in advance, and there are some tricks for converting "gold" to "ultimate" at a much lower price if you google it.

Yes, and make sure your son has the same console setup. I wanted to play Elden Ring with my boys and daughter and they have not been able to because they are PC and I have an Xbox.
Game pass has been work it for me.
Halo infinite was pretty good game for me. I had not been gaming for the past 20 years and got tired of watching TV every night, so I bought an Xbox S and have not looked back.
Just an old fart trying to play games again.

Whatever you do..don’t buy the game pass. It’s a rip off. It’s like a thousand Chinese mobile games and Halo.

Sniper 4 elite was pretty fun and I got that on game pass. There are some good games on it but not many.

Yeah I have no idea what those guys are talking about. I was a die hard playsation guy, game pass made me get an Xbox. I don't even buy any games, just play whats on there

Why would you even post some bullshite like this? The OP hasnt gamed in 10 years. There is a ton of great older games on there. GamePass is perfect for him and his son.

Because his time is worth more than 10 years worth of Microsoft exclusives @ whatever price Microsoft is charging these days.
He should either be outside playing with his son or they should both be playing The Last of Us and learning valuable life lessons.

Lies. Before they patched it, there was a 4k/30fps or 1080/60fps. I believe they have 4k/60 patch right before the PC launch now
