Hardest game ever?

I am feeling like it was battletoads/double dragon SNES game, that space ship stage.

Probably not the hardest game ever like within it's whole but Killzone Shadow Fall had 2 missions,one was like in the middle and the other was toward the end.They gave me HEADACHES.

Ninja Gaiden 1 on the hardest difficulty still keeps me up at night. My butthole has never felt so raw until after that fight with the ghost samurai. That whole level was a bitch.

See the problem I have with ninja gaiden was that you would die and you could load up the last checkpoint.
In the early games like Ninja Turtles (damn underwater bomb level), Double dragon/battletoads, and Contra once you ran out of lives you had to start all the way over.

NG2 final demon boss on master ninja is the only instance where I broke a controller in rage. frick that guy. Most satisfying feeling in the world when I beat him though.
