Not going to discount it just because it has a female character. Now if it was a story of entirely female characters, that would be different. TLOU part 2 had an almost entirely female cast and that prompted me not to buy

Maybe, maybe not. It is almost assuredly shipping with the PS5 Pro and whatever Xbox calls their refresh. Those are both slated for holiday '25.

I heard it will be their FY'25, which ends Q1 of 2025. They do not really need the Holiday season to sell. Will be the most purchased game of 2025 regardless.

Portraying women as villains in video games was not a thing until around 7 to 8 years ago when the market audience for video games started to change. Up until then, the primary audience for video games was suburban male youth. Then twitch streaming changed the culture and now woke women have infiltrated the gaming world.
