Just a heads up for people, GOG has started their winter sale and have all their games with decent discounts. Also until December 14th you can pick up Fallout 1, 2 & tactics for free. However due to extreme web traffic you might want to wait a bit before trying to get this one. They also have a community vote for games with bigger discounts. I know this board has a fair amount of PC gamers so someone might score some old games at a cheap price.

Heavy traffic which I am glad to see I support this company as much as I can. It will be fine in a little while.

Took me about an hour and a bunch of F5's but I finally managed to score the free fall out games. However due to web site traffic I'm unable to download them at the moment. Just be patient if your after these games and you should be able to get them before the sale ends.

are these direct downloads or are some of the games just steam keys?

I'm interested in this as well. I bought the Fallout pack before but it wasn't on steam and I can't get the games to play on my computer at all. I've heard people have had better luck on steam.

All GOG games are DRM free. Basically you create an account and can download any of your purchases as many times as you like and install them on any computer you like as well. Any game that is old and will not run on a new operating system usually comes with a program like dosbox so it will run on OS's like windows 7 or 8. I've bought games that are over 20 years old and were meant for win95 and have had no problem running them on Windows 7.
