This game looks awful
I watched one of those canned gameplay vids where the players talk all official and shite like that Division trailer and it looked pretty bad. I haven't seen anything else though

I watched it on Twitch during the closed beta. Look pretty good to me. Have to remember it's Beta.

I played the closed beta a decent amount. I thought it was pretty funny. Not gonna live up to the that first trailer they dropped. Still think it will be a fun game to play with friends

Played the open beta a little bit today, similar to division except you got vehicles you ride. Will play a lot during the weekend to see if its worth picking up a copy.

Didn't get into closed beta so I will be playing this over the weekend.

Yea, I have a feeling this game will be like the division mixed with a little mercenaries. Could be a good combo or could be awful. we'll see here soon.

It looks ambitious and the open world idea with coop is a nice try, but this looks too close to The Division which didn't really appeal. I feel like Ubisoft has several games under the Tom Clancy umbrella and had raving success with Rainbow 6 Siege, which is one of the best FPS games on the market, and moderate success with The Division.
Ghost Recon Wildlands kind of seems like they knew they had a third franchise and didn't have quite the refreshing ideas like they had for The Division and Rainbow 6. I almost feel like The Division could have been Ghost Recon.

Did you mean fun, or is it actually funny? I cannot recall many Ghost Recon moments of brevity.

Agreed. I'll try out the beta, but expect it to be like The Division and will be one of those games that'll just lose your interest after a short period of time.

Just installed in on PC, however I have no spoken dialogue sound during cut scenes; all other sound works fine...anyone run into this yet?

this game is a squad based farcry with some shadow of morder mixed in
the stealth factor and figuring out how to complete a mission without triggering all the guards is the best part, but can tell it'll get old and repetitive fast. just like in farcry. maybe using other methods to take out targets will extend the value of the game, but doubt it. if I buy the full game, it likely won't be until it's on sale

It's not like the Division at all. Think of an open world Socom Navy Seals. Even if you play solo you have a 4 man team. You and 3 AI players that you command. You're going to need a headset if you play with others online though. Communication will be key to playing with others online.
You can't unload 200 rounds into someone before they die like The Division. One sniper hit and their down or 2 hits(?) from another weapon. Depending on what cartel you're facing. You can't take many hits either before you're down.
People will bitch about the driving mechanics since it's like Watchdogs. They will also bitch about cars not going fast enough but that all depends on what car you have. Smart with helicopters. Some are faster than others. Some have guns mounted some don't etc.
Loving it so far!

glad you are
played a couple hours today and already pretty bored of it. hoping I find something about it that changes my mind before the open beta ends. would also compare this game to just cause 3, except just cause 3 is more exciting and funner to play. keep wanting to zipline and para-glide my way around wildlands.

It does have a Just Cause 3 feel about it.

I'm enjoying it so far, but I am only about half and hour in. I will say this the hill "wall" climbing has and EQ feel to it, the bastids have mountain goat in them, I am walking up places that really should require climbing gear I am also dropping down place that would break a normal leg if not worse.
The squad commentary so far is pretty lame.
