My wife has a cold too but it's not terrible. Our daughter is not happy today though. I'm hoping it will peak today.

Mine hasn't been out of bed more than 30 minutes all day

Guess that means I'll be sick tomorrow

Rough weekend all around it seems. We are supposed to do our follow up procedure on the 20th. If we don't clear this up we have to delay it.

I feel like shite and think I've caught whatever a co-worker brought into the office from his kid

Been playing Sonic AllStar Racing Transformed on 3DS in bed as a result (got it for just $12 mainly for extra Club Nintendo points a couple weeks back)

Like pretty much every Sonic game since Sonic and Knuckles I have a love hate/feeling about it. The Wii and WiiU versions are certainly the more polished games from what I've played but even with some iffy controls and a few plain bad levels (the Knights map in particular) I'm having fun with it.

Powerups are kind of weak and don't have the Mario Kart level of variety or impact. Part of me likes that its more of a pure race due to that but part of me is also infuriated when I'm stuck in a pack with nothing but weak arse ice balls to throw.

Maps are pretty interesting save for the few that have a heavy emphasis on flying. I like that its not regulated to just Sonic themed maps and racers.

Graphics are... adequate but very hit and miss. Sometimes they look great and others they look like they were pulled from an N64 game. The frame rate could be better overall and has consistency issues on some of the busier maps. The graphics and frame rate issues make me think this game was rushed out ASAP. (again, like many a modern day Sonic game feels)

The highlight of the game is world tour mode where you go through all the different maps on a branching "word" map where each one gives you a different objective. Normal races, time attacks, rival races, and even pure races are the types of things you will do to earn stars to get new maps and characters. You can do normal grand prix if you want but the world tour mode is a nice feature that I wish Mario Kart would adopt. I also like that you can level up your characters for extra pre race powerups though its going to take a loooooong arse time to actually max everyone out and I'm not sure I like this game enough to do that.

All in all its your average modern SEGA Sonic game where if you can look past the warts there is fun to be had but you should be prepared for some frustration that is purely due to the game being put out the door before it was ready. If you REALLY love kart racers and want another portable racer and/or have SEGA nostalgia to the max I'd say this is worth a go but you shouldn't pay more than $15 max. If you don't have or want to go with a portable version I'd say you are better off with the console versions just from a game performance perspective.

Final rating 6/10

Hope eveyrone is on the mend. Sic jr has had a nasty cough that really only surfaces at night when we lay him down. It's scary as crap because it always sounds like he's going to start gagging and stop breathing. Took us an hour to get him settled in last night, but teething tablets (to take the edge off) and a humidifier helped him sleep until 6 this morning.

So Advanced Warfare may have made a fatal error with me this weekend. I can get in to games no problem now, which is great, but no one is playing. TDM is pretty much all I can do. I like that playlist, so whatever. I'm in one game and I get a double kill to end the match. Waiting for it.......and the lobby times out with no kill-cam.

Sounds like little gardoki. Now she isn't eating as much and if I give her too much she throws some up. Can't wait to turn this around.

I checked on him 3 times last night to see if he was breathing.

So I'm IV'ing some coffee this morning.

We sleep on the couch with her to keep her upright. The cough does sound better but the lack of appetite is worrisome.

His appetite has stayed the same. He's really into grapes right now, and after a few diapers yesterday, I've learned that grapes are the corn of the fruit world.

We are still on bottles. She normally has 6 ounces but starting yesterday it's 3-4 ounces before she is full. If she forces down anymore she throws up.

Yesterday was a hard day. I'm normally pretty calm about it but she had me very worried. I made myself pick up my vita when my wife had her to distract myself. Thank God for persona.

One of the worst feelings as a parent.

So games......I kind of miss 14, and then I don't. I want something to play to prove everyone wrong, but it's hard to settle in. I played a little bit of Ico last night on the PS3 and realized I want to finish that along with SotC. Frustrates me what's happened with Last Guardian.

Everybody is sick. How far did everyone get on daredevil. I'm on episode 6.

halfway through episode 2... League and wife honey-do list absorbed my weekend faster than I expected. Didn't even expect to play League at all this weekend, but then I wanted to get to level 20, and more TD'ers started playing with me... it snowballed pretty bad.

When my wife is sick and/or sleep deprived, communicating becomes a nightmare. She either doesn't hear anything I say or it's always too fast. "Wait, what?" And I'm the most impatient person with that crap. Not a good combo
