GB Awards Idea: would everyone be open to just games?

Last year it was loud and clear that nobody really cared about the GBA's anymore, and I'm not foolish enough to try to force that again, but since we are a Gaming Board, I thought we should at least try to vote for our favorite games, which I feel is inclusive to everyone. We can keep it to a few categories for simplicity.
Anyways, if you guys show enough interest in this, I'll go ahead and organize it towards the end of the year.

The GB is a dying hollow shell of it's former self.
I blame games for being not fun on the new consoles. Except BF4. That game is still awesome.

Yeah, but I think that trying to vote for individual poster awards excludes everyone because nobody really plays games together anymore, at least not here.
Game of the Year might have better luck. Or maybe not.

Poster awards are dead. If people vote on them, everyone nominated gets one vote and that's it, making it a pointless venture. And I put a good bit of work into them last year to see it flop, so no thanks.

A good many of us play league of legends together all the time.

Well people DO, but when we had the poster awards, we had a lot of people playing COD and BF together, the three clans, and that stuff made sense. Most of those people don't really post anymore so it's doesn't work.
