Is there a reason you're looking for a laptop specifically? Most of the PC gamers here build their own (unless I'm mistaken), me included, and desktops are definitely the way to go.

Alienware, definitely Alienware.

Go with the "Enhanced" M18xc with the SLI enabled dual GTX 675M's for $2,599.

Check out the Lenovo Y580. Pretty good rig for the price.

I have the same Y580 model. Only issue is the HDD is slow but could be replaced.

I just picked this up recently and it's amazing. Been running Far Cry 3 and Fallout 3 both for over 50 hours and I've had no problems with both games on the highest settings.

I think most will agree, a desktop is the way to go, but I needed a laptop so this was perfect.
