this has always been gamestops policy. if you want them to change it then they would have to have fully paid by the consumer. you only put 5 bucks down. what do they really owe you.
btw i used to work there and yes it sucks.
when i used to work there we would actually call all the people and remind them. doubt they even do that anymore

I ordered a controller there for pickup a week ago, they kept it like 3/4 days.
