So just found out, all pre-ordered products even if paid in full are only held for 48hrs?

Almost lost my Cloud 1 and 2 Amiibos because of this BS.

Why dont they tell you that during pre-ordered? No one reads the fine print on receipt. I assume if I pay in full then the pre-order wont go back on the shelf.

I don't have a problem with it. It isn't their job to house merchandise for an unknown amount of time. As long as they refund said person, I completely agree with their policy.

Most ppl do not have the ability to pick up merchandise within 48hrs. I'm never in town and travel.

You pay for a product in full but they can't hold it for more than 2days? Come on.

Those stores are pretty tiny. I don't think they have a lot of storage space.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I feel like if you pre-order you should feel obliged to pick the item up w/in 48 hours.

it's actually on the receipt once you preorder it if memory serves correctly.

Who reads that really? They should mention it during the purchase.

48hrs is not a long time at all. Especially for me, i'm not home.

Not sure if this is a GameStop policy or just the one I frequent, but when I pre-order something, they always call me when it's in to remind my dumb arse.

And I'll even get on a call list for a game/system that becomes available. A week or two after the Switch came out and I couldn't find one anywhere, I was talking with the chick in the GameStop store. She said they were getting a couple systems in the following week. I gave her my phone number at her request. She called, I said I'd be there later in the day to pick it up, so she reserved a system for me. Didn't even pay anything down.

I've never had a bad experience in a GameStop. I guess others have

Physical store pre-ordering isn't made for you or your schedule. Sucks but that's the truth. 99% of people who pre-order from Gamestop do so to ensure their copy is there to be picked up on the day the game/product comes out. Gamestop doesn't want people pre-ordering prodcuts to be picked up in 3-5 days after release because they expect normal inventory level to be back by that time

You're better off pre-ordering from Amazon or an online retailer who ships the product to arrive at your house on the day its released so you don't have to worry about picking it up.

So you're mad that they give you the information you want on the receipt at the time of product?

Must be a snowflake.

So it is the store or worker really.

As a PC first guy I just started visiting GameStops on a normal basis because of Amiibos.

One store has a guy who will hold anything I ask him to, call any store to get the Amiibo i'm looking for and call me when Pre-Orders are in.

The problem is this store is in Texas but back home in Louisiana the stores don't give me the same treatment. Can't just order from the Beaumont store because i'm not always in Beaumont. I might be in Houston, Port Arthur, Lake Charles or back home in Thibodaux at any point during the week. So started just Pre-Ordering Amiibos back home for the SO to pick up.

For the most part I haven't had bad experiences. Its ridiculous policies that you come across that make you say wtf.

I don't buy games but Amiibo pre-orders. You can't pre-order Amiibos there.

Will start moving these pre-orders to Best Buy.

If that's the case then Best Buy would probably be the better fit

Yeah think so.

The main issue was not being aware of this policy. Wish they could have told me when ordering. I've pre-ordered all the 2017 Amiibos with them this year. That is about 20 Amiibos.

I'm not going to read that detail on a receipt.

No shtt weasel.

Just should do what every other place does and let you know about the policy when checking out.

Order through amazon in that case. Many times their pre-order prices are far better than GS if you are a prime member.
