For the 10000000000 time - Why should I get either system?

Havent had a machine since the 360.
Been itching to play madden thr last 2 seasons. Its really the only game I play but am sorta interested in getting into others.
What system and why? Will i buy a new system now then a newer better one come out around Christmas? This is the main reason I am hesitant.
I don't have a blue ray player. Not sure it matters but TV is 4K.

See which exclusives look better unless you're only going to play Madden. Also take into account what your friends play. Otherwise you can spend $400 +tax on a PS4 Pro now or get the Xbox One X for $500 +tax come November 7th.

If you are this unsure & uninformed, just get a PS4. It’s the leading console this generation & it doesn’t sound like you have specific games you want to play.

Ask your friends whom you would play Madden with which console they have. That's really the only important thing to worry about

PS4. Better exclusives.
There's an argument to be made for the Switch if you're a Nintendo guy. Zelda is an incredible game that I and many others have easily put 100+ hours into. Mario Kart is great and ARMS just came out with Splatoon 2 coming out this week.

Bought a PS4 a few weeks ago after being a PC gamer my whole life, and I don't regret it at all.
I'm impressed with the graphics on a $250 console compared to my PC, and I love the exclusives I've played thus far.
My PC is still my main gaming machine, but I've been very impressed with the PS4.

I'm an old Xbox guy.
PS4 is the better system with a better backlog at this time.
If you haven't owned a system in a long time, you will have a pile of games to play on either system but PS4 has had better exclusives for a long time.
I got a PS4 earlier this year and I am more than happy with my choice. You should buy the PS4 for Last of Us and all the rest will be gravy.

The obvious answer is to ascend to the master race and buy a PC.
