You losers are so annoying at this point. Like you’re so far behind being cutting edge or original with your trolling and trying to be funny that you’re essentially the boomer equivalent of internet gaming discourse at this point. Every time someone says something fricking dumb like you just did or tries to hilariously rally the peasants for a narrative about something bad relating to the game all I can think of is the scene from arrested development when the guy goes “There’s DOZENS OF US! Dozens!”

They’re immediately bitch slapped and proven wrong by reality so fast im shocked your ilk don’t have whiplash at this point. The game has sold incredibly well compared to what they had laid out in the 18 month businesses proposal originally conceived by Yoshi P to even get it funded. Last I saw we are at almost 3.5 million copies so yeah you’re an idiot.

Further man, like we have all played the game, we all have seen and know the FF16 demo was the single most successful demo in history as it relates to it translating to sold units. We aren’t blind and know we are cool arse shite that is visually eye popping and fun to execute. The combat is one of the cornerstone highlights of this game. It has a well deserved 88 I think I meta critic and those usually are a bit lower than they end up at this close to launch still because people like you without lives go and leave 0 reviews having never played a JRPG in your life. It has a 93 critics last I checked and many many many people have already proclaimed this as game of the year Zelda has been bitch slapped and rightly so Nintendo deserves it for their laziness and sheer audacity to keep assuming Zelda fans would eat 7or8/10 re purposed and recycled shite over and over. The long and short of it is you’re almost certainly an idiot, a troll, haven’t played this game, never will; and have never played a JRPG in your life

Don’t even care Strokes. I have beaten this absolutely amazing game twice and now tackling the most ardent challenges and let me tell you they’re rucking hard. But aside from your enmity I hope you’re doing well and the Braves are the best team in baseball and it isn’t even close. Can’t wait to hang another banner this year and maybe you’ll finally accept my offer of brodom

I just finished my first play through.

I did everything - all trophies except for FF mode, upgrade all abilities & plat

Definitely pretty close to the bottom of my list of FF games unfortunately. It had some strong character moments and a few epic fights that were pretty high highs, but I think the game is just soooo wrapped up in bloat. I found myself bored sooo often playing this game and that’s a shame

I think they would have had a better product here if they shed all the fake shallow rpg systems (weapons/armor, side quests, the “world design”) and just made the game a linear action game with all of the core story levels. 20-25 hours total playtime. Would have been infinitely better paced. This game is paced so horrifically.

Definitely not the worst FF game but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t pretty disappointed overall, I was pretty pumped after the demo

I have had this discussion at length on gamefaqs and Reddit but I just don’t agree the game is paced horribly. You say you want a 20 hour game but like 15 ish minimum hours of this game are already so over the top anime awesomeness, or emotional gut punches, or things that you need to be left with to breath on for a bit.

I see some complaints about the side quest and there is some merit to it but ultimately they all are serving a purpose and they do all culminate in 12 or so very high quality pay offs for every character particularly as it relates to them and Clive right before he goes to face ultima and essentially destroys all the worlds aether remaking the entire world and dismantling the slave system the game was big on bringing down which dooms him to being the final person ever to die by the crystals curse

I had an idea that even though all that is true weree some of the more questionable quest the best way to reach the very fine end goal? No I don’t think so. Vivian ninetails could’ve delivered much of that info in a very well animated scene like her maps and cut 5 hours from the game

The hunt system was also infinitely better in 12. All the fights here were mostly fun but outside of maybe 6-7 of the very small total amount of maybe 30 they aren’t necessary unless you want the genii glove which is the best accessory in the game. Those 6-7 are only necessary becaus they are the only way to get 1 one off weapon and armor forging materials for the best stuff in the game. I will say though that beating the game in NG+ and getting ultima weapon and the other 2 red armor pieces with every ability node unlocked and being level 100 is really when you can start putting yourself to test at how good you actually are at this game because the combat is incredibly deep and the final eikon trials and ultimaniac mode will make you learn that if you haven’t.

For instance I’m sure most people never even gave much an attempt at learn to use rift slip in Odinsntree because it’s incredibly complex and took me about 4-5 hours of training to master it and it is by far the single best ability in the entire game and I have achieved stagger damage of 450k with it

I finished about 30 minutes ago (all hunts and side quests). This one's ending was more depressing for me than previous titles.
