LINK

“The Europe chief started answering the query with the mention of the highly awaited DLC. Further, he claimed the Shadow of the Erdtree is likely to be released soon. The previous rumors around the DLC have suggested that the makers might be planning a release in the month of February 2024. The possibility of a February launch seems highly plausible as it marks the original launch anniversary of the classic.“

Would love a February release. Right when work slows down and the kids are still in school.

The easy bet is that we will see a trailer at the game awards with the February release

As one of the people in school I'd have preferred if it had released during a break or something I have to deal ith school first before I can play.

I feel for ya, but hey February is only a month before Spring Break!

Also, do something other than video games over Spring Break.

Can’t wait for this, although I overleveled my guy so much it looks like I’ll be respeccing to 99LCK

Also wonder what their next project will be - I guess AC could get an expansion, but hopefully more dark fantasy after that.

I for one would love a third Shadow Tower.

I'm sure most would disagree, but I've been secretly hoping that the partnership between Martin and Miyazaki would lead to a souls-like set in Westeros. The different houses are almost perfectly set up to be their own builds in a game like that.

Martell/Dorne = Bleed/Dex build
Baratheon = strength
Oldtown = Int
Septons/Sparrows = Faith

Do it.

The last I saw based on some leaks was that it was supposed to be a magic focused combat game. It would be interesting to see how they would do that. Magic builds were pretty fun in ER

I’ve asked friends this for years. Why hasn’t a company made a real Open World game based in Westeros? It would KILL

I've done 2 full new game playthroughs and never really touched magic. I started a new playthrough recently to take a break from diving into new games and decided to try and build a hybrid INT/STR build and have been have a lot of fun. I haven't had to use a bow at all for range and the different spells allow you to change your range attacks from singles to AOEs. So much fun.

I’ve only played a strength and dex play through. May need to try magic out

Oh yeah I remember that now… kind of a bummer since I’m a big sword slut.

same, the heavier the better is usually how I roll.

I'd imagine a full fleshed out magic based game though would be pretty stellar and far different from their other games where magic is a component.

The cool thing about magic in ER I thought was if you like melee you can still run a magic/melee hybrid. There are spells that act like melee attacks. Charging certain spells with the godefroy talisman was really powerful too

It's hard to get away from bleed for me. Still playing at a deathless run. Which is kind of a weird thing, since when I kill the whatever it is at the chapel in the beginning it technically counts as a death when you jump off at the end. It doesn't count as a death if it kills you.

for me I'd prefer before or after since FF7 rebirth is coming out in that timeframe
