EA SPORTS UFC DEMO... what you think?

Just downloaded and played the UFC demo on ps4. Game looks fantastic graphically, animations are still somewhat robotic but that's to be expected.
The learning curve is very high but it steals ideas and motions from THQ's UFC games so if you played those you'll feel at home on certain aspects (especially in the transition and clinch game). I ran through the tutorial quickly and couldn't figure out how the hell to do a submission.
Certain strikes are very characteristic to your real world player. Jones pulls cheap leg kicks he's known for, no eye pokes though ; ) and damage looks really good on the faces
Overall not much new to see here imo. Joe rogan and goldberg's commentary is really weak (maybe it'll improve on the release but highly doubtful) and fighting itself is far behind fight night in smoothness and feel.
Anyway what you think?

I was Gus and I beat up Jones all fight. He threw 12 punches and took me down 4 times and I won a split decision.

When do I get to play as Bruce Lee?

I could never get the hang of grappling on the UFC games. Every time I play that game with friends we get stuck on the ground after a take down and takes us a whole round to get up.

Looks great, controls are pretty difficult, but the stamina doesn't drain fast enough. I can sit there and throw superman punch after superman punch and I never got tired. Transitions are easy to perform, but it's even easier to block it from happening. They need to tweak this because with how easy it is to block a transition or even a takedown it's going to cause every match to be a stand up fight.

Graphics wise the game is pretty nice. By far the best MMA game to date in that sense. The submission game is still overpowering for the fighter who's attacking. (At least against the CPU). I performed literally 4 or 5 submission attempts back to back. Once in the submission attack/defense, I really like what they've done. It's not a "gimme" submission at all. You go through 4 steps and 1 wrong click of the stick and you're pretty much done if you're attacking. The striking isn't as fluid as it could be, especially the kicks. This game is much better than any of the games THQ had ever put out though. No more 1 high kick knockouts match after match. There are a lot of controls, but I watched the videos EA put out yesterday so I had my notes there while playing the game trying to learn them all. Lol.

i've fought about 10 times now and outside that first win i've been getting my arse kicked. You def can't just stand there and trade shots in this game.
