Diablo III question about Paragon Level

Just started playing and I don't know how to get points for the paragon level stuff...
Do I have to reach a certain level before this comes into play or am I missing something...?

Diablo is terrible. Marvel Heroes is free and 10 times better with way way way more to do in game.

I'm on a console...just bought one for the first time...really enjoyed d1and d2...I've never been much of a gamer but I loved the Diablo games so I bought a console so I could play the third one...
I appreciate the help but I don't have any interest in cheats...I like to try and beat the game with each character...alone.

I used to nerd out on d2 back in the day and was a straight baller online. Then I quit because I was getting addicted. Haven't played a computer game in like 8 years

Yes it's very similar... Taking me a while to figure out all the skills etc...but so far I'm really enjoying it...

D3 is really fun for a while. Then.. you get geared out and there's nothing more to do other than starting a new character and doing the same thing. Gets old, fast. Even on hardcore seasonal mode.
I had a hardcore seasonal crusader.. I was tanky as hell. Ran into a mob of walling elites.. got walled in with those MFers hitting me. The Crusader is tanky as hell and has 2 built-in auto-revives and I still freaking died
I started a sorc after that and got powerleveled. Got some Vyr's but kinda got bored and stopped playing. It's the same thing over and over and over and over and over

yes AND no,, the idea has always been for Blizzard to improve on the tried and true formula of DII,, but try as they might, they can't quite seem to do it. Graphically Diablo III and Starcraft II are serious upgrades from the predecessors, gameplay wise... yea not so much.
After Blizzard closed the DIII trading post and uncapped levels to antiquate the current gear, it just became the version 2 grind of itself. Paragon Leveling wasn't a bad idea though.
