PSN hasn't been down for 4-5 days straight. They did maintenance because some games were having connectivity issues. That isn't the same thing as being down.

Issues have been resolved doesn't mean the entire network was down. It sucks for those effected, but each platform is separate from the other.
PSN was down during the whole Lizard Squad thing. This isn't that.
