Removing the SBMM from the non-competitive crucible playlists has been wonderful. Connections have been so much better this week.
This season is pretty meh, which I think everybody knew it would be. I like some of the stuff they are setting up though, and the stuff they laid out for the next two years seems really promising.

Yeah I started playing last week to see what I missed out on and this season is basically just farming those bits and chips to get upgrades. I’m like nah I’ll wait

Yea, it is very similar to last season. Mostly just bounty farming. I'm using this season to focus on building up upgrade materials and whatnot.

I may just play one char a week throughout the season. The meta has changed a lot in the last six months, and I don't want to get stuck with sunset gear right out of the gate for y4.

Yea i've already started purging my inventory. I'm basically keeping high stat roll armor and then any weapons that I use a ton. Keeping my crucible weapons as those will always still be good for everything not light level dependent.

Eh, I mean there is some cool stuff and if you haven't played it in that long, there will be a decent amount of stuff for you to play. Overall game isn't in a great spot right now, but they've set up some really cool stuff from what it looks like for next season and beyond.

I did get a whirlwind/relentless sword, so I guess I'm good for boss dps

I’m probably chilling until the new content drops. I’m beyond stoked to play this in 60 FPS and 4k. I’m still on the OG PS4 from 2013 so it’s gonna be like a whole new world

Mods are kind of whatever you want to be honest. Powerful Friends chest Mod is a really strong one when it pops back up. Weapon wise, Auto Rifles are still really strong in PVP. High impact pulses got a nice boost. 150 HC's are very strong. Snipers are still very strong for PVP.
PVE, depends on what you are doing. Can kind of use what you're comfortable with, but swords are great for boss damage.

It is insane. We tried to do a flawless Riven the other week with this strategy. Insane how much dps you can do.

Yea I can't wait to see that. I've moved over to PC and running at 1080 at 144, but i'll still hop over to my Xbox every once in a while if i'm already on the system and want to grab something form Xur or whatever. That 4k HDR truly is impressive. The colors still blow me away whenever I get on. That 30 fps is just unplayable though now.
I decided to start working on getting Luna's Howl. That quest is a damn lengthy one. The Last Word has been filthy in crucible, if either of you are playing with a controller. Hip fire got a small boost so it is even stronger than it was last season.

I'm catching up on mods. Lucent Blade and Stacks on Stacks has been money for sword damage.
I've been using the seasonal exotic grenade launcher, energy autos, and sword/xeno/1k on all my classes. So far, so good. Just a little squishy.
And good luck on Luna's. It was a nice grind. It was no Mountaintop though

Yea, I haven't even thought about mountaintop, even after the quest nerf. I'm sure i'll do it at some point, but it just sounds so awful.
