Skill has nothing with me taking you down to %10, then while you either retreat behind some cover or while I'm reloading, someone sneezes on you and they get the kill.

Happens a lot, hence the "assist counts as a kill" feature.

Glorified DLC.

Sure if you consider call of duty, battlefield, sports games, borderlands, and etc sequels to be DLC too.

Does not happen nearly as much as somebody actually finishing their kill.

Anyways, that is not why there is "assist counts as a kill" feature in this game. If that was what they are going for they would show kills and assist too.
Again I would be totally fine with that, if they did it like battlefield.

They removed it all. You can no longer track anything except if something you hit died at some point before healing. It's a lack of information.

I wouldn't say way less at all.

Well, we don't really know what all they removed. It is a Beta after all. They could still have a lot of post game stat pages like they do currently that just aren't loaded for the beta.

True.

And like I said previously, it isn't a huge deal. I just don't like it.

Bungie has steady tried to make it's pvp more casual and inviting.
And I get the reasons for that. I just don't like it as somebody who plays way too much pvp.

Just give us a K/D and an AK/D. If the game is a team shooter, I might value AKD higher, anyway.

But to shove it all into one category is stupid. Why even keep count? Everyone's rating is artificially high in this game.

If you finish a game in the negative, you must've really been bad.

The fact that an entire team can get a kill from one player dying is absurd.

Coming from someone who racks up assists, I fully endorse this trend

Me too, and also in PVE. Ran the Strike yesterday and somehow ended up with 43 kills and 48 assists.

Somebody was stealing my kills like a motherfricker!!!

Yea that was my early opinion. After playing yesterday, nightshade and the auto pulse are my fav.

Early expectations didn't disappoint. The opening sequence has me pumped. Lets see if they can build a better story around it.

PVE was as expected. More of the same, but somehow improved on. Always smooth. Only issue was when doing the strike with my kid and a rando when had the Modular Mind down to a sliver of health and got weasled.

PVP was lots of fun. New game type seemed more tactical. If you went off on your own you were toast. Anytime a team split they lost. If everyone stayed together, gun battles ensued. Gonna enjoy figuring out which guns Im gonna use.

So, should I buy it for my Xbone? Buy a PS4 just to play this or wait for it to come out on pc(where I do most of my gaming now)?

I never played the first one but this seems like it will be fun.

Only did the opening story mission last night, but it was very fun. Should be on for a few hours tonight once the kids are in bed.

I think it will be great, but I am a Destiny homer.

Tough choice.

Xbox- You already have the console and won't have to wait.

PS4 - Exclusives and will have the biggest player base. (all systems will be plenty large enough though)

PC - 60 fps.

IMO just get it for your Xbox. I mean the exclusives, to me, aren't deal breakers. For the first Destiny, it seems people got worked up over the 1 year exclusives. By the time they hit Xbox they were fun, but weren't amazing. I think it's not worth it to buy a PS4 just for that.

Story and strike were both well done. Controls overall felt a lot clunkier than D1. Not sure if that's just because of beta or what, but it was noticeable to our whole group.

Wasn't a huge fan of the PVP new game type, however I can see the appeal. Just not my style.

Pulse rifles are definitely king right now. Started as Hunter, and once I was able to get one of those, PVP became much more enjoyable. The Hunter starting weapons are pretty crappy. That Titan minigun though

Arcstrider is completely worthless in PVP unfortunately. They will need to make some type of tweaks for it. It can be completely outrun without even breaking a sweat.

Fusion rifles were amazing though. I know they will get a nerf, but enjoy them while you can

ETA: And as has already been discussed, the recharge rates for abilities have to be quickened. Gearing everything towards PVP competitive play is going to ruin the rest of the game. Had multiple 10-kill streaks last night and only got about 75% of my super charged. If they want crucible to be like that, fine, but at least speed up grenades and stuff for PVE.

Hunter in general really blows right now. Hopefully voidwalker is better

Super will probably need to be sped up a bit.

I have no problem with the other abilities. We don't really know if we can go from tier 0 to 5 right now. If we are at tier 0 and can increase that when the game comes out it will be close to the same. Tier 0 in Destiny 1 is not far from the charge rate we see right now. If not it may need a increase to make the PVE players happy.
