Got in a little playtime this evening and whooped up on the Capra Demon after getting stuck in the corner 7-8 times by the dogs. Quickly started to realize that I was then heading into the Depths which means that Blight Town isn’t far behind. Started breaking out into cold sweats.

After blacking out for a minute I realized that The Depths was pretty easy. Got whipped by the boss once and decided to call it a night.

For those that struggle with Capra: as you pass the fog wall, start running forward and left, being prepared to dodge roll immediately. Run up the stairs to the left, and once you get to the top, run to the right, on top of the arch frame. Unless you have very bad luck, the dogs will chase you up there and you’ll have 5-10 seconds to take them out before Capra comes calling. Once they are dead, jump down and deal with Capra. Without the dogs, he’s easy as long as you don’t get too greedy.

If you’re struggling with Gaping Dragon, don’t forget to kill the Channeler above the arena that buffs the boss. There’s also a large shard up there.

Yep, I was just a step slow and kept getting pinned in. Also, my play in general so far has been a tad sloppy. After a few deaths finally managed to get by them at the start and ran up the stairs. Strategy wasn’t an issue, just execution.

I killed him already having forgotten that he was the guy that did that shite in the boss fight.

I’m not struggling with the Dragon. Did one fight to get a feel for what he did and then turned it off for the night.

You guys have any suggestions on the final two bosses of the DLC? Two left until I’ve conquered every boss in the Souls world solo.

I do think I used a in game summon against the Fume Night. Toughest Souls boss imo

I never managed to get to the DLC. Am going to try and get it done this time.

It's impressive you have done them all solo. My first time playing through DkS1 I used summons for half of the bosses. I'm attempting to go solo on all of them this time though.

Keep at it and you’ll get them solo. I summoned in two Lies of P fights and hate myself for it lol

Lots, but go bang your head against Manus a few times first. Otherwise what we tell you won’t make a lot of sense.

Though if you don’t have it already, you should look up how to find the hidden amulet half. I wouldn’t say it’s 100% necessary to beat Manus, but it’s about 95% necessary

Eta: One bit of upfront Manus advice: if he throws back his head and roars, he’s about to do a rage combo. As soon as you see him put his head back, get the frick away from him, further away than you would think. If you get caught by one of the first two hits, he’s likely going to juggle you, and you will almost certainly die.

His second phase adds dark magic attacks. That’s what the amulet is for. On that note, only have the amulet and estus in your hot bar. Make sure you know which is currently equipped at all times. It’s not fun getting smoked by dark magic while accidentally drinking estus.

Fume is tough, but not unreasonable. As long as you keep him away from his healing, it’s not terrible. I’m somewhat surprised you found him to be the toughest in the series. Some of the DLC and optional bosses are brutal by comparison.

He is the only one that made me summon so it’s memorable. I was like at 100 attempts or so

No way, sir. I just had a different wall I wanted to beat my head against.

My advice...learn the tells, learn to force certain attacks, only attack in safe openings, and don't get greedy.

Kalameet is annoying. His attack hitboxes are wonky as frick. Very frustrating fight until you get used to it.

Midir, Nameless, Friede, Lud and Zallen (including horsefrick valley…) and Fume ate you up 100 times? I’m not judging or anything. Just a little surprised. But everyone has their walls, and each is different.

Also this thread is awesome.

I'm in the middle of a father daughter playthrough. We just killed Crossbreed Priscilla...my daughter's choice. I was both proud and sad.

We're running full strength after we got the Demon's Greataxe to drop from the Taurus Demon.

Priscilla and Gwendolyn are the two bosses that are generally safe, even in my “kill all bosses” playthroughs. I may be in a shite situation, but I’m not a murder hobo

I let her listen to the dialogue and pointed out we were not attacked when walking through the fog gate.

She said "Kill her."
