What is more important regarding an item? It's power level, or the amount of damage/armor/etc is has?

How important are aspects? I just realized I haven't assigned any to my gear. Currently struggling in WT2, but I think that may be my problem.

Struggling in WT2 shouldn’t happen. But I’d also suggest using a guide like Icy Veins for a specific build. I went Flurry Rogue and destroyed WT2.

Aspects are important but again not so much in WT2. For instance for my flurry rogue I wanted aspects related to damage to vulnerable enemies, etc.

It's a mix. However, look up the item power level breakthroughs. Ultimately you are wanting higher item power which usually has better stats. This is not too important until around lvl 50 or so.

Very. Start extracting aspects to save them. They can be huge boosts. Imprint them to legendarys you like.

What lvl are you? As a sorcerer, I died several times leveling. Bosses were tough. Took some respecs and understanding to get through it.

Aspects are huge. Look for ones that have synergy with your build.

For example, I'm running a death trap rogue. I eventually ran into several aspects that have features that boost the power of traps and give them features like cooldown reduction when killing an enemy and the ability to temporarily knock down elites with traps. I went from being pretty damn squishy to tearing through most of the game once I got my preferred aspects in order.

Is there a specific type considered best for solo players?

How important are aspects? I just realized I haven't assigned any to my gear. Currently struggling in WT2, but I think that may be my problem.

First, drop down to World Tier I. No one levels in WT2, it's just not worth it. You'll kill mobs faster in WT1 which will more than make up for the XP differential. Not only that, but Barbarians are the most difficult class to level up, and don't fully come online until well after level 50.

You should be looking at an item's power level as a general indicator of how good it is, but you need to prioritize for stats that align with the build that you're going for. You generally want to look for gear with +Strength, +Vulnerable Damage, +Crit chance, and +Crit damage. But again, it's going to depend on your build. If you're going for a Thorns or Bleed build, you need to build a gear set around those stats.

And yes, Aspects are hugely important. You should be doing all of the dungeons required to fill up your Codex of Power with class based Aspects, and then imprinting those on all of your gear while leveling. Aspects will define your build, playstyle, and level of power, so they need to be selected carefully and optimized intelligently. The Amulet is your "free" slot as any Aspect can be imprinted here with a +50% effectiveness, and any Aspect present on a weapon slot gains +100% effectiveness - so use those to your advantage to optimize for your build.

Depends on the build

For Barbarians:

Weapon Damage
Core Damage
Crit Chance/Crit Damage
Vulnerable Damage
Fury generation

All the above multiply together whereas crowd control, bleed, stun etc are independent

I started focusing on core damage along with making sure vulnerable/Crit damage increased, but evenly (simple math reason, think how 2*2 > 1*3)

My damage tripled
