Counter Strike

I never really played Counter Strike, but it still has a dedicated fan base. You would get crushed.

I don't know if I would ever go back to original CS, but Source was pretty fun.

Source is still pretty active, but you would in all likelihood get annihilated if you've had a long layoff since the last time you played.

I would agree with that statement for CS:S, in 1.6 you could just spam the auto-shotty and do pretty well. No such noob-cannon in Source as things have been patched to equality.

I used to play source all the time, but I almost exclusively played on a zombie server. Blocking entrances off with vending machines and killing zombies was awesome.

they have it for xbox, played for a while in college; pretty fun and its not all diehards like on PC

I thought since I was decent at cod i could keep up :( I guess we'll find somethig else to play. We are all in different states so we're trying to find a good game that will keep our friendship going strong, and my computer sucks and they dont play console games so we have limited options.

I didn't specify that it was the only noob-cannon, just that a lot of people used it.

Give it a go... you'll be pubbing anyways. It's fun and just remember it's very addicting. There are plenty of noobie servers out there to play in so don't worry about getting crushed. You have some COD experience so it won't be that hard of an adjustment.
