People have said it's like playing MW2 in COD 4
This is a good thing. MW2 played a lot better.

I've seen some stuff today saying IW was pretty good
I watched a 15min stream of them playing. It looks like Starship Troopers.

Sadly i will wait to purchase on its own because i refuse to buy that futuristic shite it comes with

That game looks so terrible. My first thought was "this is Halo". I don't know what happened to the original idea of CoD along the way, but I feel like Infinity Ward will find out a lot about the direction of their new games when everyone will be paying a 9 year old game with a fresh coat of paint over Infinite Starfare.

Know how I know you've never played Halo?
Watching gameplay now and it's still a friggin COD game. I know you guys have a hard time getting over the wall jumps and futuristic looking guns, but it's COD through and through.
What I love from the video I'm watching is when people get killed, their bodies start floating up to the ceiling

Giving some thought to getting this. COD4 is obviously intriguing but IW does look like fun.

I stopped playing COD when they introduced all the jumping bullshite. I got a PS4 and started playing BO3 and at first I hated it. With a passion. The mechanics were so different and its really hard to play as a sniper which was my thing. Eventually I said frick it and took it as a challenge. It took a long time to get over the hump but now I enjoy finding unique wall runs and getting deep into the enemy controlled area...jumping high off the wall and hitting someone with a 1 shot kill with a sniper rifle. Owning a lobby in BO3 as a sniper is actually extremely rewarding lol. So basically if I can learn to enjoy it, anyone can. I am looking forward to the new game and the remaster.

I refuse to buy IW. I loooove COD4, but it's definitely not worth paying $60 to get a mediocre game that I won't play, and a game I've had for 9 years.
If it comes with a code, I'm sure some kids that started playing COD when AW/BO3 was released won't be interested in a game from 9 years ago. So I'm going to see about hustling a code from one of them. So hopefully it's a code you have to put in... But I wouldn't be surprised if that isn't the case.

Meanwhile, Battlefield is being innovative. Battlefield 1 will outsell the absolute shite out of IW. And if Battlefield goes back to its roots with a WWII game, COD will die.
Honestly, I think all these companies are missing out on a gold mine. All the futuristic warfare games are getting old. It's been a long while since a good FPS WWII game came out for console.. Especially current gen.
And I've been waiting for code masters to announce a new Operation Flashpoint. Red River was underwhelming to say the least. But I'd love to see them bounce back with a new game. OFP: Dragon Rising is backwards compatible for Xbone... So if you like Arma... This is as close as you'll get on console.

Those games were innovative and I liked Dragon Rising. That was a grind of a game, though. And Red River was just kind of an underwhelming mess. I don't think Codemasters is in the FPS game anymore...just F1 racing games from what I understand. They announced that after Red River.
I'd be on board with WWII. But I would also like to see a game take on our current conflicts in a story mode and give us some realistic locales that our US and allied forces face today. Look for a game called Insurgency on PS4/Xbox One/PC in 2017.
Personally, I think paying for Infinite Warfare and setting it on fire is worth it to play CoD4 Remastered. If they brought Elvis back to life, would you pay to watch him even if it meant he opened for Pitbull?

Seriously? They changed setting. COD has been steadily evolving over the years and people have done nothing but complain.
And I'm a big battlefield fan.

Anyone have any more information on the early PS4 access to the campaign?

I have been a COD guy for several years with me only recently giving up on it. I hated advanced warfare and black ops 3.
I will probably get this for the remaster as I know several of my old online buddies are doing the same.
With that said, everyone is missing out on one of the greatest FPS of all time if they haven't tried rainbow 6 siege.

Not even close
Blops 3 has sold 25 million copies. With COD4 remastered coming along with IW, they'll hit at least 25 million again.
For comparison sake, BF3 sold 17 million copies and BF4 sold 14 million.

CoD4 is going to make that release.
