I only have 4 builders.
IMO, 5 builders would be great up to the point where you max out all gold/elixir mines. Once you do that, it is almost impossible to have enough of a cash flow to have all 5 builders working.
I am sticking to 4 but if you are still at TH6 or 7 it may be worth moving to 5 builders.

im pretty much done at th 7 except for gold/elixir mines, air support, and 1 tesla
ill proly just stick with 4

like right now i have 4 working on upgrading my cannons from Level 9 to Level 10 (gold). That's $1.6 million a pop.
I have the 5th upgrading a camp from level 5 to 6. (750k elixir)
so it's not bad as long as I'm constantly looting and I split the work load between gold upgrades and elixir upgrades.

the increments in the power/hitpoints upgrades are soooo small for him.

When I move to TH 9, here are some of the upgrade costs (these are currently the highest they can go at TH8):
army camp: 2.25million
research: 3 million
clan castle: 7 million
spell factory: 1.6 million
cannon: 3.2 million
tesla,archers,wizard towers will all be in the 3 million range if I had to guess.

I think a high level king deters a lot of attackers tho, he is really my main priority right now as far as DE elixir goes. I haven't even built DE barracks yet.

Mine sleep a lot because cheapest thing to upgrade with gold currently is 1.5 million and elixir 1.2 million (barrack) so it takes awhile to save, spend, then start all over again

1x Elixir Storage
1x Gold Storage
1x Archer Tower
1x Wizard Tower
1x AA
1x Tesla Tower
1x DE Mine
25x Walls
which will take a few weeks.

Tesla from 1 to 2 is 1.25
Tesla from 2 to 3 is 1.50
Dunno about 3 to 4 since I am not there
Wizard tower from 4 to 5 is 1.9 million and 5 to 6 is 2.6 million
Archer Tower is 1.5 million from lvl 8 to 9 and 2.5 million from 9 to 10

how much elixir does it take to fill the xbow? I'm curious how much those things hold and how it works

If it is empty 50k elixir for lvl 1 think it is 60k on lvl 2 but cost to upgrade from 1 to 2 is astronomical lol
