Can I get some help from the Gaming Board? New PS4 Pro and old BF4 related.

Hey, nerd friends.
I bought a new PS4 Pro and gave my old PS4 to my brother. Long story short, when I bought BF4 I bought the PS3 edition that was eligible for upgrade to PS4 edition with a code. I tried to use the code again yesterday on my new PS4 Pro and no dice (SWIDT?).
I can download all the DLC maps for free no problem, but the game itself I can't seem to redownload for free.
Any help is appreciated.

How did you get the code? Maybe it has a one time use? I want to say all DLC for that game is free now anyways, or at least it has been a few times so maybe that's why you could download that.

The DLC came with Premium, so my PSN account recognizes that I was a BF4 Premium member and I can redownload all those at no cost. But it's not recognizing my PS3 BF4 disc.
I don't think it's a huge deal, I'll just find BF4 on Amazon or somewhere for cheap. I would just rather use what I paid for already.

wasn't there a deadline for this when the ps4 first came out? i recall CoD: Ghosts had a similar special.

I got Battlefield 1 and like it, but I think 4 is just my sweet spot and keep wanting to go back, but it's harder and harder to find games. I never got too much in vehicles since I was usually running solo anyways, so my go to is Domination, but those games are next to impossible to find now.

I saw one of the DICE dudes say they have 5 days left until they can reveal what they've been working on. I'm guessing it's the next BF.
PS4 community is strong. There are a few hardcore conquest servers with all the DLC in rotation. The DLC game for BF4 is strong.

I want to say I saw an article saying there definitely was going to be a new Battlefield game next year, and I wonder if there was a loud enough outcry for another modern BF, people who couldn't get with WWI, and they decided to overlap the games a little more than they usually do, thinking the playerbase for both would be big enough to sustain.

Every once in a while I'll be "oh yeah, I remember that guy" and look to see if they are still active. I know croacka, of course, is heavy on the new golf board, and paps is on the fantasy board a lot.
