Played around with the game a little bit in a best buy the other day and became intrigued.
If I rented the game, could I beat it in one weekend or is it much deeper then that?
Is it worth buying?

Depends on if you get DLC and play more than the story mode. If you have the whole package it will take you months and months to defeat it. I have the game and still havent completed all the adventure mode maps. And I play it often up until I got smash bros for Christmas.
Hyrule Warriors gets HARD in adventure mode. This game is a completionist's worst nightmare if you play the entire thing plus the DLC which includes:
Twili Midna
Tingle
Young Link with Fierce Deity mask
Cia, Volga, and Wizzro (which was actually a free patch but the MQ DLC gives you access to ther special outfits)
So yeah. It's really fun even though most on this board will tell you that Warriors games are repetitive and otherwise are niche games and only for people who like endless hack and slash.
