BF4 | Prepare your bodies, all assault rifles (and sound) in "latest build"

Assault rifles
Levelcap posted a video of the latest build he and a host of other YouTube All-Stars (stout, were you invited?) got to test. This build is a newer build than the one seen at Gamescom (Conquest on Paracel Storm).
Lots of things have been cleaned up. It looks like the sounds of the rifles are more distinguished. The knife takedown animations are cleaned up. It looks less glitchy. And it looks absolutely incredible.

Yeah, almost everything has been PC. Next gen consoles won't look as sharp, but from everything I've read the PS4 and Xbox One versions look far, far superior to the console versions of BF3. As well it should. And next gen consoles will be at 60 FPS, which is going to be huge for Battlefield.
@Beers, I think all the AR sounds might have been generic at Gamescom and not unique. Like, maybe they all sounded like the SCAR and they didn't apply them yet. Maybe they did, but in this video Levelcap doesn't talk over the gameplay so we could hear how great everything sounds.

It ran at 900p at Gamescom and still wasn't optimized. I'm not saying it will be at 1080p, but I'm not saying it's a foregone conclusion it won't.
I'm more pumped about Battlefield in all it's glory running smoothly at 60 FPS than I am about 1080p.

The ship in the beginning of that video looked insane. I'm way behind on BF4 news. Are they going to add legitimate naval warfare in the game?

Yeah there's a HUGE difference in 30fps and 60fps for bf3. When I made the transition, I was blown away at how much smoother it was

What do you mean legitimate? I don't know if you'll get to pilot an aircraft carrier or warship, but you will get to use attack boats. They are like the water equivalent of tanks. Then there are these smaller boats with the guns on them from BF3 and of course jetskis.

That was nice.
Some points:
1. I LOVE how the capturing flag bar is on the bottom part of the screen now. No more huge circle taking up real estate in the middle of my TV.
2. The gun customization is ridiculous.
3. I like how the soldier moves.
4. There was a point where Lvl got a "Squad assist counts as a kill". Does this mean inflated K/D ratios?
5. Lvl almost got sniped and you could SEE the bullet whiz by. Holy shite. Reminds me how intense narrowly missing an RPG in BF3 is.
6. The sounds.

I just wonder if this is when you are shooting someone and you do more damage but someone else gets the kill. Instead of getting an assist of 98, it will give you the kill

The SCAR looks so sexy. It was cool in the beginning when he was trying to shoot the guy in the water but an enemy was hiding on that island across from him and you could see the muzzle flash.

I didn't notice the muzzle flash but I thought it was cool how the enemy dove under water and Lvl lost him...only to get a kill assist when someone tossed a grenade in the water to kill the guy

This game looks amazing. I love the GRFSish look to the gun load out screen
