Yes there is. There are two things, actually. MAV's and T-UGS.

He hasn't played. He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Unlike me...I can talk about mw3 because I played mw2 a lot and they're essentially the same exact game.

because you haven't played the game

I have played the game. I haven't played it lately.

You mentioned the usas and frag combo. That's been fixed for months.

And akimbo smg's and the striker have nerfed. I guess its only fair to call out MW3 on unbalanced weapons

Skill has little to do with popularity or the competitive scene

Skill has nothing to do with the competitive scene? Are you autistic? If the game takes no skill there is no competitive scene. That's why Halo has had the biggest one of all, it takes the most skill.

The rest of your points are gahbitch. Camper in a building? No problem...blow the building up. Can you do that in cod? Guns in BF do not come with a perk to offset recoil. That shite is for pussies.

It is also a hell of a lot easier to aim in MW3. 60 FPS and all that.

Playing Competitive rules on COD against other teams who have spent time perfecting their game makes BF look like your playing hop-skotch. I agree pubs are easy due to the crutches they offer like death streaks, lame perks and calling in megatron but competitive rules make the COD franchise an exciting and difficult game.

I am personally burnt the frick out on COD and only play it once a week or so... And I've played battlefield on PC since I was in high school.. its not a complicated fricking game, it just requires some team work to maintain the cluster frick of jobs and roles. A good pilot is the only position that requires some skill. Other than that it's just cookie butter FPS with the ability to strap a fricking rocket to your arse or tank or truck.

If the game isn't popular, there's no competitive scene. You can't disagree with that.

This is a flawed argument. People don't pick a game to compete in just because it's harder to play. I will argue that Starcraft is one of the harder games to master on the competitive level, but a lot of people aren't going to go that route either because they aren't into RTS's or it's actually too hard.

People play games that they enjoy, and if they are good enough, work hard enough at it to be able to compete. No one will argue that COD has the more established fanbases, hence it's competitive scene is bigger. As far as Halo, well for a while, that was the only thing out there as far as good shooters, so that's why it was so big. I can't be certain, but I would guess it's not nearly as big as it used to be.

BF3 is popular, it has sold a shitload of units. It's not MW3 popular, but neither was Halo 3 (would say reach but reach sucks).

The only reason why people play MW3 competitively is because it's the newest model. If CoD players wanted to play a competitive CoD they should all play on the same playing field: Modern Warfare.

My point is that don't go and assume that MW3 takes skill because it's the game people are competitively playing on.

And, just FYI, BF3 is taking steps to become competitive with a new feature called "Matches". Players will be able to coordinate times, rosters, etc. for games.

From a series standpoint, bf3 is the first bf to hit console. CoD has been on console for how many years? It's not a stretch to say CoDs competitive scene is larger because it's been around much longer. I could argue after being out for only nine months, bf's competitive scene is just getting started.

1 & 2. Battlefield 2 was on both the original xbox and 360. Also on the PS2.

That's not part of the bf series. Bf2 was pc exclusive. this is the first bf to hit consoles.
